Handy.
If only I had the money to buy it though. The price seems a tad high, even for a Botcon set.

Wow, for once I have nearly all the Botcon molds- sold Cyb Sideways a while back. $400 is WAY too much for this set IMHO; those are good molds, but not worth $80 each. You could prob get the original molds all painted to match by a good customizer for less than that.
And why is it called "Wings of Honor" if only one of them has wings? Is it because the Elite Guard logo coud be said to have wings on it?

Well, the box set I got via an Iacon package. I'm counting on my "certain handsome fellow" to help fill in the gaps...

Considering what Botcon sets often sell for, $400 is actually quite cheap for a pre-order.
Whether people spend the money is another story.

I suppose this is good news for folks who aren't attending and miss out on the Iacon Package. $400 is better than buying a Set off ebay at a later date (though, that varies with popularity of the Set). I'm still not thrilled over this Set anyway.

80 bucks for any of these figures?
Not in hell.
If this would be on clearence for 1/10th of the price, maybe, but this set for 400 is a joke.

Heh, now we know why all the non-attending sets are gone. BBTS took them all.

So, I'm stupid for getting the set? or stupid for liking the mold/decos?

Well, I guess that really depends on where you get it. I just wouldn't pay more than the BotCon asking price for it. I can't see paying inflated aftermarket price for this set... but that's just me.
It's like Genkei Strafe, if you like it, it's worth it. Definitely not for me though.

That's the kind of closed minded attitude which ensures I have the opportunity to own cool things that you will never own.
...and should you change your mind and seek the toys out eventually, yours is the kind of attitude which allows me to sell the things you once dismissed at outrageous mark-ups.

Then after the Con people are willing to pay siz arms, two legs and a spleen for them.

Given that the price of these custom sets usually balloon up 100% within a month of them being released I'll say yes.
Also the set itself looks cool.

Well I certainly don't have anything against anyone who wants them enough to pay crap-tons of money for them...
But personally, I think they are all ugly as hell and the odds that one day I'm suddenly going to change my mind on that enough to be even remotely willing to sell body parts for them, are slim enough to be virtually non-existant...
But then again, I'm also not someone who will pay 2-3x as much for a henkei figure just because it has a few more details in the paint-app than the universe counterpart...\
You guys who want these, knock yourselves out...But I will always be able to find better figures to frivilously spend that kind of money on...

Ugly...
That's what I don't get.
All of these figures are at the very least, well decoed. How exactly, is Flak an ugly figure?

To each their own, but I certainly don't think these figures are ugly.
However, I don't think they interest me nearly enough to be worth convention set prices. If they were released as regular figures, at regular prices, my opinion might be different.
For me, I don't mind paying large amounts of cash on figures I feel are worth it. Henkei Thundercracker was well worth $80 IMO, however, any figure from this set does not look worth $80. They're still good figures, just not that good.
