ameblo.jp- Check out another online gallery of the Ganbo store exclusive Gentai Strafe.
Gentai Strafe is of course a repaint of the
Universe Cyclonus figure, and is considered by some people to be a nice stand in for their missing Shattered Universe Cyclonus.
You can view the whole gallery
here, with alt mode, and robot mode pics.

Looks great! I'd get it if it weren't so expensive. I'm saving up for TFCon Powered Commander on the secondary market.

Not to crazy about the colors but it is a cool looking figure. Its just way to expensive. Be better off buying a Cyclonus and some model paint.

I love the color scheme and it actually is similar to Shattered Glass Cyclonus color-wise (Cyclonus was all red)
I don't have the money for him at the moment but I'd love to have him in my collection some day, for sure.

I don't like the idea of repainting this mould. Everything about it SCREAMS Cyclonus. Even in those colours, it just looks like Cyclonus decided to show some Canadian pride...
I think that if the mould was to be used as a different character, it would need remoulding.

I think it's universally agreed that this does not look like the Technobot of the same name. It just looks like Cyclonus tried to drown himself in bleach.

Love the detailing on the wings...And I like how Nightstick looks...
Otherwise though, I agree with most everyone else...It looks like somebody just loaded the wrong colours into the Cyclonus assembly line...There's just no way to make this look like anyone other than Cyclonus without at least a new head sculpt...

yup. without a new head sculpt, it just isn't going to be anyone else. However, that is a testament to how great they did with the Cyclonus figure!

As long as people keep buying these silly repaints they will keep em coming !!!
I dont mind buying 10 different seeker repaints cause it is already established that many characters share that body mold. However, Cyclonus is supposed to be the one and only. This is just another "lets see how many suckers will buy it" scheme. Buyers be smart...

The two and only. Don't forget the Armada.
EDIT: Oh and in "The Killing Jar" he changes colour after going through a black hole. That ought to be grounds for a repaint.

This is the second "Suckers" comment you've make this week regarding repaints (Ghost SS). What difference does it make to you how many times Takara or Hasbro repaints a figure and who buys them?
If you don't like repaints, especially limited edition ones like this, just don't buy them. You can comment about how you hate it for whatever reason as much as you'd like, just don't equate buyers here to suckers because they buy an expensive, limited figure.

If you decide to do this, please revisit this thread with some pics because I'd love to see how it turns out.
I remember a lot of people posting about repainting seekers into Thundercracker and Thrust back in 2007 but nobody ever did put up anything that rivaled the Botcon figures. At least not that I noticed.

I really like how Strafe is looking in these new pictures.
If only they had used red instead of the white, then he would be perfect for shattered glass Cyclonus.

Using the Cyclonus mold for anybody else is just all sorts of wrong. I can't look at it without going "What the h*** happened to Cyclonus?!?"

Starfield raises an interesting question. Who is Strafe's Nebulan companian?
Always glad to see the Targetmasters ranks swelled like when we got Stepper and Artfire a few years back.
I like this colour scheme but can see why people have trouble accepting it as a seperate character to Cyclonus. Reminds me of when we got G2 Hero Megatron and Prime here in Europe and they were called Archforce and Sureshot. They just screamed Megatron and Optimus.
I've had time to adjust to a white Cyclonus since I have the slightly larger KO of his G1 toy.
Anyone remember the Cybertronian jets in the G2 comics that were basically jet mode Cyclonus in a white and green colour scheme? Would like to see that.
Actually that scheme on this toy along with a repaint of Cybertron Starscream as Jhiaxus and Energon Barricade as Mindset would look nice in a G2 Cybertronian convension set.

Haven't heard an official name yet, but un-officially, I have seen Goldfinger, and Goldmember.

Yah baby!
