Yizhi521 of TF08.net has posted our first look at Transformers Revenge of The Fallen Mixmaster in-package. To view the images and his bio, click here.

Resident chemist and explosives expert for the elite among the Decepticons, Mixmaster has spent his entire life learning all there is to know about chemical interaction. He can make thousands of poisons, explosives and deadly gasses from materials around him. The other Decepticons rely on him to fashion powerful warheads for their missiles, and dangerous venoms in which to coat their blades.

Glad they made such wonderful use of his third mode.

I'm really glad he has that third mode instead of some tacky combining gimmick.

really glad.

Put any robot on its chest and call it a triple changer! How sad is that?

Agreed. Why do something that makes sense when Hasbro would rather make more money? They could've impressed us with their engineering, but would rather sell us 2 half-assed POSs.

btw - the "battle mode" has a certain, Decepticon Thanksgiving turkey look to it. Got the wings...the drumsticks in the air...heavy on the white meat...Impressive. Just add Cousin Eddie - Save the neck for me, Clark!

I don't know, but I don't want to hear "it's for the kids."

A $100 non-transforming Devastator is totally not for the kids. How do you expect all those snot-nosed brats to convince their 'rents into dropping a whole Benjamin at once?

Maybe splitting up the combiner into a few Deluxes and a couple Voyagers would be more expensive in the end, but distributing the purchase cost among six toys would be more friendly to a tight budget, and would almost gaurantee that more kids would be able to have a complete Devastator!

...or maybe I'm still jealous of my childhood neighbor's Thundercats castle. The one my parents never bought me

Nice to see the figures dont fill the box. Maybe if they shrank the box a bit they'd save some money and we could have the prices brought back down to what they should be.

Unfortunately, there actually are good reasons as to why the package sizes are the way they are.

Those reasons are primarily:

1. The demands of Wal-Mart's shelf space/case assortment requirements.
