I'd be very interested to read the back of that. Wonder if he's in the movie.

Same here! Looks cool... Like the name, also. ...and with that.. I'm not going to visit this thread again as I don't want to run into a spoiler...

Looks pretty decent. Can't wait to see it's Robot mode.

From the looks of it, I do not believe Strato is in the movie at all

If you look at the picture of teh box, it looks like he has a Mini Con or a Target Master. Did anyone else notice this?

It's a miniature version of Optimus prime...we've seen him before. Hopefully someone can link the previous pics for me cuz i can't remember where they are.

Stratosphere huh? That may be one of the cooler names we're seen for a long time...I like it.

Too bad they got rid of the little space shuttle that was supposed to go on top. Then again, if it wasn't going to transform or anything, but was just a lump of gray shuttle-shaped plastic, it was pointless.

I'm glad to see the mini-OP is still there, although I still doubt I'm going to buy this after seeing the awful bot mode.

You haven't seen it? Look around here or other TF sites; there are plenty of pictures out there. He has spindly bird legs with big pontoon feet.

Bah, I've been behind in the times. Guess I'll try to look for it. Or maybe I mistook it as Jetfire. I'll never know >_>

Behold:

I expect to see these guys warming shelves well into 2010.

What has become very typical of most of the ROTF that actually look like Earth vehicles the alt mode looks great while the robot modes looks très horrible! Stratosphere case in point. The ones that do not look like Earth vehicles most look bad in both modes.

...................................................

That makes Armada Leader Prime look poseable. I'm quite sure that's the tallest Robot mode... that looks like the height of Unicron for pete's sake. I don't even know if I will buy that cause it won't fit between my shelf.

I'm betting this guy isn't in the movie because: his box art head looks hand-drawn, or 3d rendered but they didn't spend any time on it. All other guys' boxes we've seen whop are in the move have a screenshot of their head for box art, either that or they use the official 3d model to put on it. This guys' doesn't appear to be in the same style.

Also, we haven't seen him in trailers or during filming or anything about him in plots or designs. Stupid design anyways.

that picture looks silly, it's like there is a revolving resturant on the top of his head :P

Nice name though.

I forgot just how bad this guy looked. Too bad too, could have been something really cool and unique. This just underscores the fact that Hasbro need more thinkers/designers like the guys at FP.

This guy now officially holds a spot of coolness alongside Dropkick from the first movie-line for having a 'new' name that's cool and not a homage.

Am I the only one that finds that he has long skinny legs fitting? With the type of jet he is and thus likely spending most of his time as a flying transport he likely spends little time on the ground, and seeing how the movie designs tend to prefer function over athestics at times... Strong legs aren't really a necessity.

Did they really come up with a new name for once? Think hell just froze over. I dont remember a TF ever having this name but i could be wrong. I like the figure and the names pretty cool so ill be picking this one up.

Agreed...i liked Dropkick's name too...that may have been a more fitting name for Kickback; I always thought Kickback should've been a donkey or something...

Very logical way of looking at it. He may simply hover around rather than walk or run ala BM Jetstorm and as a result doesn't need powerful legs all.

Well shucks, this picture also confirms that this awesomely-named Autobot has no space-shuttle/gun. I wait for pictures of Takara's version, I'm sure they're not as cheap as Hasbro to omit an accessory (they did include mini-allsparks for the allspark power line, after all). Functionality over appearances, I agree with Swiftpaw there, I don't really mind the pontoon-feet anyways.

On another note, Stratosphere's face looks very similar to 2 certain actors, but I can't decide whether he's a homage to badass Samuel L. Jackson (Snakes on a Plane!), or dedicated to the funny guy Bernie Mac (I sincerely hope he's doing well on the other side), just look at my 1-minute put together comparison:

Image

Or maybe it's a double homage to both (Samuel L.Jackson's face and an angular form of Bernie Mac's hairdo?)?
