In the world of Transformers, nothing in sacred enough to avoid being counterfeited, or KO'd. This is evidenced, yet again, by the recent revelation that Transformers Revenge of the Fallen figures have been added to the duplicated mix.

Thanks to TFW2005 member, and KO guru, GenZhao, we get a good look at knock offs of Deluxe figure Soundwave with multiple color schemes and heads to boot, along with oversized scout class figures Dead End, Dirt Boss and Depth Charge.












Before the actual figures themselves hit mass release, you can get a poorly replicated, goofily colored KO of them. Check out way more pics of these bad boys here.

I really don't know how GenZhao gets this stuff. I'm pretty sure it's not legal, seeing as he gets wave upon wave of RotF figures that have yet to be released. It's freaking astounding. Not being jealous, it's just we never really saw figures 4-5 months before their release from some middleman until now.

When it comes to Knockoffs.. they're okay. Nothing I'll ever pick up because most of them reside originally in Asia, and I'd rather import the real thing instead of something that isn't too trustworthy. Besides, I find that a lot of Knockoffs end up being expensive to their official counterparts.

I haven't seen anything more pass-worthy in a good long time, though. I mean to get a legit Soundwave when I see him out, but this KO's just wrong. I'm not even talking legally wrong though that's true as well, I mean I feel this KO's so terrible it's so very wrong there aren't words in the English language to articulate how wrong this is.

They should repackage that soundeave into night-crawler that thing is fugly

You know, if a knockoff is actually on the market BEFORE the real deal, how do you know if not the real one is a knockoff?

I'm sure that NASA is just itching to get their hands on the freaking rocket scientist that actually thought it would be a good idea to copy and mass produce one of the ugliest heads to ever make it's way onto a transforming toy since the advent of the Go-Bots. Break the Mold, beat the crap out of the mold maker then beat him again to make sure he got the point! I pray to Primus these guys didn't get ahold of detailed Ravage pictures. They'll actually promote the robot chicken for his alt. mode and paint it white or brown to add insult to injury.

That's the Alternators Jaguar mold of Ravage on the back there.

And really doesn't surprise me, many of the TF Animated figs had KO's out before the real deal.

Holy crap that was fast. The real figure arent even out yet here in the us and these are spouting up? These KO guys dont waste time do they. The red Soundwave looks cool but ill never be able to find these guys so looks like im waiting for the real thing.

Hey man. At the very least, they were able to spell everything right. That's an accomplishment.

Hah, those Soundwaves are a laugh - the fans are all "Boo! Crummy KO's with stupid colours", but if the red one was in a Takara box people would be like "OMG! a G1 Hate Plague homage! and only 9,000 Yen? Sold!"

I wouldn't mind some of the deluxe sized KOs of the scout class guys.. but yeah. Unless you actually find them stateside its not worth the import shipping costs when you could be getting the real thing for less.

They're still amusing to see, though. Reminds me of the deluxe sized version of alligator BW Megatron I have. Which was actually a good quality knockoff, other than he had two left hands. Considering hasbro makes that mistake themselves nowadays, you can't really call that a defect. ;p

The only decent kos ive had and sold where the mini fortress maximus. It actually has screws and decent stickers. I just hate the arms ramps that come off easy, but we have the same problem with a lot of the hasbo tfs.

I've been tempted by that one. Does it still have its battle mode and some kind of headmaster gimmick?
