Help With GF Soundwave?

Either I'm an idiot who can't use the search function, or there are no topics containing the words "Soundwave" and "instructions" together.

I just bought a GF Soundwave from a fellow local TF fan, and he came with everything but the instructions... I'm having a hell of a time getting him to fit right in jet mode. Can someone help me out? A link to some instructions would be very helpful. Thanks!

Im afraid the Instructions REALLY dont help much. All they do is give you a rought idea. Also they are alt to robot, so working out how the hell to get him back to alt is a chalenge in it's self. I think it took me best part of three months to finally work it out properly.

On the bright side if you find anytbody with cyb Soundwave it should have the same instructions.

It's unfortunate that a figure so wanted by the fans, was a big pos.

If you want I can dig up my instructions sheet and send it to ya.

But like it was said before they won't help much.

A helpful tip is that his knees bend sideways to form a downward angle from the back to the nose of the plane. I believe there is a peg and hole system in place as well.

See now I disagree with that, just cuase he's fidly and awkward dosnt stop him form looking GREAT.

It just takes so damn long to work out how to make him look great.

Hmm. I suppose if the instructions don't really help, then I don't need them... What's that site that always does a transformation sequence when they do a gallery? It's japanese, I believe.

You mean the regular knee joint or the lower sideways-bending one? I was able to get the legs to fit properly, but then the 'canopy' of the jet doesn't fit... I suspect I'm doing something wrong with the arms, perhaps? And which way is his head supposed to go in jet mode?

Well, I still love the figure, he's just a little difficult to get right.

Ha, sort of. He still doesn't quite fit right... but no worries about forgetting. Is it me, or poor designing on Takara's part? :-? I've seen pictures of his jet mode fitting together correctly, at least. The problem I'm having is I can either get his legs to fit to the nosecone properly, OR get the canopy to fit on the legs, but not both at the same time. The pegs just don't line up...

You need to make sure you get the legs bent in exactly the right way before you try and asemble the front end, it's difficult to explain (especilly when you havent transformed him yourself for a while now) but once you find it, he actully fits together reasonably easily.

If i get a chance later I'll dig him out of my Cyb/GF display and see if I cant work it out again.

Thanks, I'd much appreciate any tips. :) I've tried it several times since I bought it on Friday and it seems nothing I do makes it work... There must be some slight adjustment I'm missing.

Well, I figured it out. Turns out there was one more notch I could click to on the right shoulder. I hadn't been pressing hard enough before because I was scared of forcing it. But this isn't MP Megatron. So everything lines up great now! Thanks everybody for the help.

Well, if you really wanna, go for it. Hah, but good thing I said something before you went through all that trouble... Thanks anyway!

Hmm. :-? That would be a cool feature for the site: Youtube hosted tranformation videos. :D
