"Lastmaximal" of TFW2005 has posted images of the Transformers Movie Hardtop figure. This figure, like the scout-sized Arcee seen earlier, is a repaint of an older mold, this time of the Cybertron Hardtop mold.

According to "Lastmaximal", he found this figure at the The Gathering: The 1st Hobbiworx TAGCOM Convention. You can see the images by checking out his original thread over at TFW2005.com by clicking here

I might just get that even if it's a repaint.

Yeah, the Hardtop mold is really cool. I already own both the original and the Swindle repaint, and the mold and the new paint job is worth getting again.

this mould is a great little toy and has a more complex transformation than some of the delux size cybertron toys. But again, repaints!!! on its own merits a nice repaint, a sharp contrast from the bright G2 style hardtop.

Not bad. I wonder if we'll get a comic or something in the future covering the Sector 7 bots. If not, it doesn't take much to figure out their origin.

Are these repaints all going to be exclusives, or are they going to be everywhere?

The Hardtop mould is pretty good. I've been meaning to get swindle or another hardtop to repaint into Beachcomber. Guess i can always use a Sector 7 one now.

I have a feeling they're general releases.

I can't wait to see how awesome Armorhide will look. If he looks as good as this guy, I might have to pick him up, and them make a trailer for him, just like I did for my original Cybertron Armorhide.

Good luck.
I'm still in the process of doing my own Beachcomber. Had some paint chipping issues so I've been looking into dying and with some other projects taking higher priority it's been put on hiatus. damn school.. I'd love to see yours when it's done.

I love the Hardtop mold but I'm not sure if I'll be buying another considering they are $16 down here.

This would be the only reason I'd buy this mold again. I have Swindle already and he's a decent mold. I just don't like the new version enough to care. I'm skipping over 90% of the movie figures anyway.

Not a bad redeco, for a pretty nice figure to begin with.
Also one of the few Cybertron toys that makes a good Earth style vehicle.
