The list below was originally posted on Tue Feb 21, 2006 10:00 pm. The Transformers names that have been striked are figures that I have purchased since that date. I just received the Autobot Headquarters today. Only a few more to go!!!

EDIT: List completed on May 3rd, 2007 at very long last!!!

----------------------------
----------------------------
----------------------------
Total to finish G1: 4
----------------------------
----------------------------
----------------------------

And here's what I need from G2 to now (minus any figures recently released). This includes UNIQUE characters from US and Japan. I have ALL of Beast Wars, Beast Wars II (including Takara exclusive repaints like Magnaboss and Tripredacus), all but 1 BW Neo and all of Beast Machines:

Transformers 1993

Sideburn (Walmart exclusive)
Snow Cat
Downshift

----------------------------
----------------------------
----------------------------
Total to finish G2 through Now (including Takara BW): 2
----------------------------
----------------------------
----------------------------

The above list DOES NOT include the following:
the various never-ending repaints of the RID Spychangers (I just have the original version and have no interest in the repaints, though I do have the Universe repaints because they're different characters), various repaints of G2 Dinobots and G2 Constructicons (though I miraculously have all of the Armada Powerlinx repaints but I don't have the Armada Mini-Con repaints unless they're a different character or in a different series OR the personality swap like the Dark Saber), nor does the list include the Botcon figures (though I'm only missing G2 Breakdown and Nightracer. The above list also does not include the irrelevant figures such as the yellow Armada Prime and Overload which were exclusive to some store nor the Starscream and "Prowl" Costco 2-pack (I wouldn't be opposed to the S&P 2pk). The only thing that I want in this paragraph are the Botcon exclusives. It also does not include the Japanese versions of the regular US Beast Wars figures under the Beast Wars or Beast Wars Metals lines. Same toy ... different packaging. However it DOES include the same toy under the BWII and BW Neo lines because they got animated forms and were therefore different characters in Japan.

I haven't figured out how many Japanese and European G1 and G2 figures that I'm missing, but I imagine it's not too many (50 - 75 maybe?). When I get the G1 list complete, I'll write down the European and Japanese exclusive figures that I don't have.

I'll get them eventually ... they're just not on my list of "official" figures so to speak.

That's a good question. I actually have no idea. I usually say around 1800 but that's just a guess. It could be more. It could be less. I had around 600 figures back in the fall of 2001. That was before the end of RID and before Armada, Energon, Cybertron, Universe, Robot Masters, Alternators, Titaniums, Classics and the Beast Wars reissues. I think that alone could have doubled my collection. On top of that, I've nearly completed the entire U.S. series minus a few odd store repaints like the Costco and Sam's Club exclusives. I wouldn't doubt that it was somewhere around 1800 or more.

Even though you may not want them right now, I'm sure galleries of them would look really nice...

Yeah, they'll be on my list but after buying Minerva last week, I won't be buying much of anything until after I get back from Toy Fair in New York in 2 weeks.

Hnh, I've got G2 Grimlock and Snarl, but they aren't in 'collectible' condition.

Grimlock bit one too many Decepticons and now he needs dentures.

Ditto.

Those are actually some of my very favorite Transformers.

Sam's Starscream coloring is outstanding.

I know this is off topic but I wanted to ask you Seibertron. What do you think of the movie figs? What is your honest opinion. You have a nice collection already of the movie figs. And one more thing which is your favorite so far? :-?

I'm really torn about them. I think all of them are very unique yet none of them really stand out to me. Every one of them has something that's made me think "hey, now that's cool" when I've transformed the figure. I really like Ironhide's vehicle mode. I really like how Ratchet feels when I pose him (man, that's going to sound so wrong out of context). I'm very impressed with the poseability of the Protoforms. Megatron really surprised me as well. Starscream amazed me because I felt that his transformation was a little more complex than I was expecting. Wreckage is probably my favorite because he's the most traditional Transformer of the bunch. I'm a sucker for a good robot face. My favorite Transformers are ones that have what I consider to be a darn cool looking face. I think because of this, I'm having a difficult time with the regular movie line figures.

As for the Real Action Gear figures (aka Objectformers) from the movie line, I really like just about all of them. The cell phone is probably my favorite and the Gameboy Decepticon is probably my least favorite. But they're all very cool in my opinion.

Wow I can't even begin to imagine where I'd keep 1800 transformers! (not that I'd turn them down if offered to me...)

I have a MIB stickers unapplied Targetmaster Scourge with Fracas sealed and a MIB stickers unapplied Action Master Wheeljack both en route. Once I receive those, I'll be down to 3: Slugslinger, G2 Grimlock and G2 Snarl. Those, as far as I'm concerned, are just technicalities. I thought TM Scourge was going to be the one that eluded me but I was wrong. He will go very nicely with my MIB Scourge, MIB Cyclonus and MIB Targetmaster Cyclonus. Can't wait to do the galleries!

Targetmaster Scourge:

Action Master Wheeljack:

I think I have about 700 more Transformers that don't have galleries yet. I recently purchased Crossblades who was the final Pretender I was missing. I hope to start plowing through all of the Pretender galleries in the near future. They're some of my favorite figures.

Ugh. I lost my wireless connection right as I clicked submit for a message I had typed. I had a whole thing written up about the G2 Dinobots. I would like to find both G2 color variations MOC stickers unapplied or MOSC. I'm not interested in the G1-colored G2 Dinobots at this time.

I would also like to find a reasonably priced set of orange G2 Constructicons. I got the yellow G2 Constructicons MOC with some stickers unapplied for $30 last year so I'm hoping to find a great deal on the orange set.

I still can't believe that G2 Grimlock, G2 Snarl and Targetmaster Slugslinger are my last figures to buy. Slugslinger is actually a technicality. I have one but he doesn't have Caliburst, his chrome is worn off and he has no stickers ... you know, the kind of figure that is great for parts. A friend gave it to me for my birthday a few years ago. Soon my friends ... soon.

And then there were 4 ... just got Targetmaster Scourge MIB stickers unapplied with Fracas still sealed. Now Targetmaster Cyclonus will have his buddy at last! And Galvatron will finally have a small army of Sweeps to accompany Cyclonus' Armada. I have my original Cyclonus and Scourge which aren't in the best of shape but they're complete. We'll call them "battle damaged". I have a MIB Cyclonus and a MIB Scourge that I picked up at Wizard World 2004 for $80 each. I have Targetmaster Cyclonus MIB which I bought from the Hartmans at Botcon 2006. And now, finally, I have TM Scourge.

:) :) :) :) :) :) :)

Action Master Wheeljack is on the way. I should have him next week. When I receive him, I will update this thread to show that I am only missing 3.

I like a lot of the Pretenders. Decepticons in particular! Thanks to Dough-Bot I shall soon have Starscream, Stranglehold, Octopunch and Vroom. Vroom is missing the inner bot but that is easy to find.

I would like to replace my Classic Pretenders (Bumblebee, Jazz, Grimlock and Starscream). I keep hoping I'll come across another set of auctions where I can snag them for about $50 a piece MIB. I'm still kicking myself in the ass for not buying them for that cheap when I had the chance last summer. Those 4 are some of my favorite figures of all time ... I think I owe that to Furman's incredible Classics Pretender storyline which used those 4 characters prominently for a while.

You're right, Big Grim. The Decepticon Pretenders are all pretty awesome.
