I'm really confused if I want this guy. I mean, his Heli mode looks great (and being a news chopper doesn't hurt either), but his bot mode is REALLY lackluster. Especially with the no hands thing. Still, there aren't that many cool looking autobots in the movie line (Aside from Leader Prime, HA Bumblebee and Deluxe Sideswipe). Because of this, I'm really staring to consider getting Jolt in place of Blazemaster.

Hmm, yeah the copter mode is great, but the bot mode is lackluster. The white seems especially out of place. But if they paint it green and call it Springer, I'll have no choice...

It's OK, even with the chicken legs and oddball excuse for hands.

But yea ... lackluster is the right term here.

It's worse than lacklustre, it's awful. No hands, the shortest upper arms I've ever seen (I didn't even notice them for a while, I thought he had no elbows), the chicken-legiest legs I've ever seen on anything but a chicken and he can barely see over his own chest.

I love Micromasters, but what's with all the recent homages?

I actually really like this mold, but the "news" deco and bleh colors don't have me sold. If it had Blades' red and black color scheme or a green Springer deco, it would be much cooler. Heck, even yet another Evac deco would be better.

I quite like the colours. The caramel gold and dark blue are okay, but he really needs yellow blades to be a proper G1 homage.

Gunna have to see this one in person to make a decision, methinks.

nothing kills a TF design for me quicker than the "no Hands" thing. I still don't own a movie version of Starscream due to those pathetic missle launching things with the tiny claws. Holding out for that Leader version now!!!!

That's ugly. Why didn't they just repaint Evac who looks similar to Blazemaster in both modes? I don't mind multiple repaints of a figure if it's an obvious homage?

I mean c'mon, you look at Evac you can see the resemblance to Blazemaster not this monstrocity.

It's like the new Banzai-tron repaint of Dreadwing when Energon Banzai-tron was obviously based on BT but again they repainted an inappropriate bot.

Another example is Clocker. We got Cybertron Clocker and Swerve, Movie Clocker Botcon Tigatron and Cheetor but where's Hot Rod?

I normally like repaints but I'm sick of missed opportunities.

I apologize but the guys who made the new toys must have a fetish with chicken legs or something.

After seeing more pics of this guy im kinda on the fence. The alt mode is awesome and i love chopper modes (plus theres actually a ch7 action news here) but, those chicken legs and the way the arms are make me want to pass. The head sculpt kinda redeems it but Ill wait until theres a really good gallery so i can see it from all angles.

Ughh, that thing's "bot" mode is terrible. I'm so glad it's movie line time right now, it's a great time to be broke and not able to buy any new tfs. I don't even have to go into stores and hunt for anything I want, cause it ain't gonna be there.

Chicken legs and no hands... Who am I kiddin....I will pick him up for the alt mode and colors alone. Love me some chopper-formers.

So this is what happens when we bitch about too many repaints? We get an original that is so disinteresting that
it makes us long for repaints. I can't even get excited about the alt. mode since my first glance of it made me think
"Great, yet another Evac rehash". I'm voting for no more releases for the RotF line. Just finish the waves that we already have knowledge of and then go no further. Quit while they still have a chance of breaking even.

Assuming by the ball-joints, it looks like a deluxe. Or a very small voyager...

The bot modes on most of the ROTF are seriously lacking and I would consider them design after-thoughts. The lack of one on the Devastator combiner figures further proves this point. Still looking forward to the movie but the toy line will see many shelf warmers IMHO which will impact Hasbro's bottom line. Hope GI Joe does better for them because the ROTF line is sinking to new lows.

Already seeing that trend. I know that the stores have a good supply in their stockrooms of the new toys
but most stores that I have gone into have abnormally full displays given the time of day and the days themselves that I have gone in. By the latter part of the day on what would normally be an inbetween stock day at the Wal-Mart nearest me, there was no need for the TF's to be restocked. I've noticed it at the Target stores in the area as well. With the economy still being crappy Hasbro isn't doing themselves any favors by coming out with less-than-stellar designs.

I think he looks alright.
His colors are cool, and the news channel motif is interesting.
I don't care for the white, though.

Also on the fence with this "Lackluster" bot. He looked cool when I first saw him but now with more detailed shots, I dunno. He's just so....... Lackluster!!!!! If I do get him he'll be getting repainted springAh Styleeeee!!!
