How do you know it's in awesome shape? Did you already buy it and open it? If so, I don't know why you'd be asking about it now. If not, be warned: there have been many reports of loose limbs and limbs falling off.

I'm holding out for the repaint they showed us at BotCon. But even this version looks badass to me, so its really up to you.

I was just meaning that the box and paint apps were both in very good shape.

I like him quite a bit. While he may not be quite the right color he looks awsome and really scary and powerful. While he may not be the most poseable he still looks great in any pose.

I have him and mine FALLEN figure is in pretty good shape, no loose limbs or limbs falling off and has all the screws in place. but could use a different color, but all in all and great figure i think..

Mine doesn't have those issues.

The Fallen is ugly as hell. His alt mode is an afterthought (though, I have to think it is an afterthought for the character as well). His color, which is a dark gray-ish green may not be screen accurate.

All that being the case, he's supposed to be ugly, I'm not sure he uses his alt mode in the movie, and I can't confirm or deny anything about the coloring. He's posable, well sclupted and definitively 'alien' in appearnace. I end up liking him because he's exactly what he's intended to be.

I think it will be easy to dislike the toy if you don't see the film, but the character may end up being relevent enough that you'll find he's necessary to complete your movie cast.

My only gripe with Fallen (Woah, I actually have something to complain about) are the feet. Everytime I pick him up, the feet fold up. It irritates that crap out of me.

Overall, I like him. He's a unique scult and stands out quite a bit with his appearance. He definitely looks menacing in his appearance and does have a Bionicle look to him, but it works.

Ironically, I think that's supposed to be a 'cool feature' of the toy.

For a minute, I thought I had a defective Fallen. Knowing the folding feet are in all of them makes me feel better for some reason.

They look to in Peaugh's review on YouTube.

I dunno... Not sure how much I like his look for a TF, but I do think he looks pretty cool. Problem is his alt mode blows and he looks to have a pretty boring transformation. For 22 bucks, I think that means he's a pass this go around. Maybe if/when the amazon.com 50% off deals come around...

#1- Poseability- I found him very hard to put into any pose but the curled up ball or fetal like position as many call it. I call it, my Optimus Prime is about to Anakin Skywalker your Dooku neck pose.

#2- Playability- No extras, he has his power-up solar panels which are okay, and can add a bit more detail to a hunk of green limbs. SInce his alt mode sucks, I think this reduces his playability a lot.

#3- Articulation- Well, he has quite a few points to articulate--bend, twist, etc., but I find none of them to be satisfying enough to pose him decently.

#4- Details- He does have them. Most are molded in, as the paint apps are pretty much limited to deep sea green, with red highlights which mostly become apparent when his solar panels are out.

Alt mode? He has an alt mode? In other words, it is not relevant. It's a fold up of the body, so it looks like the FALLEN folded up, not really a new form, but like CP said, the FALLEN may not be designed to have an alt mode originally.

FYI-- I bought him to try to like some movie toys, and since he is a new baddie, I thought to give him a try. This time around with movie toys, I am going with purchasing new molds only, unless I really liked the new paint job on an old figure, which has not happened with any of the releases yet.

But even if it is a new mold figure, I am not necessarily buying it. I haven't bought a scout yet. In fact, I've only bought Rampage, Sideswipe, the Fallen, LC Optimus Prime, Breakaway, and FAB Long Haul. Oh and legends Springer, and Sideswipe.

I am being a lot more careful with my movie toy purchases this time around. So far I am more impressed with the toys for ROTF than I was for 2007's movie, but they are still mostly things that won't be kept in my collection space.

That was just so you know where I am coming from.

His feet are genius, I wish more figures had spring loaded feet like that, standing would not be a problem. And when his feet fold up, all you do is push down on the table and they spring back open, very easy. Some people just don't like new things.

His wrists do indeed turn, but they're stiff (on mine) and an unusual design. Instead of pivoting down the center of the hand, it's a ring that turns on a pin, and the hand is mounted to the edge of the ring. It's a minor point, it still works well and looks good. EDIT- ah, the feet. Genius yes, great-looking and functional, but they work best on hard smooth surface.

I love Fallen, he's apocalyptically delicious. Mmmmm, apocalicious... =P~ anyway, he can assume some great stalking poses, think Megatron in TF1 going after Sam at the end. He has these points at the tops of his legs that interfere with some good poses, but play with him a bit and you'll see how cool he is. I happen to love his alt mode; with TF1 Megatron and ROTF Soundwave in their Cybertronian jet modes, they make a menacing airborne trio.

Speaking of alt mode, I first tranformed him without instructions, so I didn't notice the 3 pairs of tabs that hold the arms and legs in place in jet mode. I have to see if the instructions mention them, they really help.

FYI, the first Fallen I bought was missing his entire alt mode nosecone, so take a peek thru the top of hte box before you buy, you will see the nosecone folded up againts his back. FWIW

To me it feels like he's missing something. He's got a few little gimmicks like his solar panels and his feet, but they don't really add anything to it. His alt mode is disappointing too, I'd like it more if it were an alien battleship instead of a fighter jet. I also don't see anything resembling weapons on him, how's he supposed to have an infinitely powerful fireblast if he doesn't have a weapon?
