I just bought voyager megs last night, nice figure and all, but the wings on his tank made no sense to me so im thinking this has got to be something else...and it is. After messing around I find he has a hidden jet mode. Dont see why hasbro didnt go all the way with this one since he is a triplechanger in the movie, but atleat its better, WAY better than that crap cannon they gave mixmaster.

Holy cow! That's to close to the real deal to be a mistake, maybe they left it out of the instructions because triple changers were not supposed to be in this movie (hence the way Soundwave is portrayed in the film as opposed to the toy)

*tries to figure out how to turn mine into that mode*

btw, Voyager ROTF Megatron is one of the best TF's ever. It's just looks so evil and has a clever transformation without being stupidly complicated.

I actually wouldn't mind that at all as long as they gave him a new head sculpt (which they seems to be getting better about doing!)

This toy really just keeps getting more and more epic, screw leader class Megatron THIS should just be made larger.

The only OP's and Meg's I ever pick up, are the leader classes. NOW....now I'm sold on the voyager.

Didn't we get drawings that looked like concepts for a toy that looked exactly like that?

Weird Hasbro really does seem to try and hide stuff from us, the fact that Legends PRime and Jetfire combine, the Leader Prime and Jetfire combination, Classics Galvatron's 3rd mode, the Bikes being combiners and now this.

Wow, that looks so good! Better than the jet from the first film! The only trouble is, in ROTF it looked very much to me like he was just a flying tank.

And yet the question remains.. which megs will you get ? this one or the leader one ?
personally i still can't decide.

Yes, yes it does. Can I assume the leader class version can't do that? Might have to look for this one on clearance in a few months.

As of right now I'm unsure which ROTF figs I'm going to get till I see the movie tommorrow(barring Prime and Ratchet, who I didn't get from the first film), but that looks quite good.

Wow, that's nice! Good job on figuring that out. I was kind of on the fence about whether to get him or not, but this pushes me towards "Yes"!

OMG it just hit me.... while looking at these pics, this jet mode looks alot like g1 Cyclonus's alt mode!!!!!

Leader doesn't have wings so I doubt it. After seeing the film I'm more interested in the voyager than the leader!

BTW can someone tell me how tall he is compared to voyager prime and the first voyager megs? Is he as pathetically small as the first?

Sorry...he's still green for absolutely NO reason (I was really hoping the movie would offer an explanation for the toy being that colour)...And he wasn't a triple-changer in the movie...He could just fly in tank-mode...I'll stick with Leader Megs because he's just beautiful...

Seriously, how tall is Megs compared to voyager Prime?

The more i loot at pictures and video reviews of this figure the more i think it superior to leader class Megs... infact i think it's probably the best Megs since classics/henkei.
now if only they made him leader size he would be perfect.

If they can get the colors right, then he's definitely a buy for me over Leader class

After watching the movie today, I saw how Megatron was in the movie..

Between his flying to the moon around Saturn, and his battle with prime in the woods..

the Voyager seems more like the original rebuilt version, then the leader class..

the Leader class however, resembles his desert battle near the end of the movie..

so I think i would have rather have had the voyager class been made as a leader class, with full arm movement, and the leader class be made as the voyager..

I like both bots, but I think the voyager is the best now, after watching the movie.. which kinda sucks because, Megatron would have been cooler with Optimus in Leader size.. with his BFU (Before F&^%$# Up) look..

just my thoughts..

Don't get me wrong, the Leader class is cool..

But the Voyager should have been the one we got..in Leader class..he even had the Wings!!

I don't have the voyager or leader Megatrons, techinally.
But, I think I will get the voyager, or my brother will.
It's more screen accurate.

the color is off, yes, but the wings were there in the movie.. like for a brief second when the footage allowed you to see it..

After seeing how Megatron moved in the movie, and how the Voyager can be posed versus the Leader class.. the Voyager is hands down more accurate..
