I have four of them, and i think that these figures rock. In terms of aritcaltion and detail, they put the other lines to shame. I´m starting to feel they look cooler than Classics.

I have deluxe Scorpanok and Brawl, and I like them a lot. I won't go so far as to say they're better than Classics, but that opinion may change eventually.
My only bone of contention--if I would even call it that--is that the figures look so 'busy'. They are so detailed and everything.....not that's a bad thing by any means. Brawl has all these access hatches and stuff that you'd expect to see on a tank, and the 'no step' painted on and such. His arms also don't attatch to the body too well, but that's probably the only real issue. He's all kinds of menacing looking which is a big plus. Scorp on the other hand is cool as a scorpian but has a totally useless and cruddy robot mode.

I like these figures, and am looking forward to obtaining more of them.

Im probably gonna get a fair few of them eventully, but they ALL (without exception) look messy, not particularly well designed and have really horrible proportions. Mind I think most of that is more down to the movie designs rather than poor toy designs.

And deluxe Starscream would be an insult to gobots...

My opinion is that they are all ugly ,and they got nothing on the originals!

I agree that the figures look busy in their detail but that is the nature of the movie designs and the physics behind the movie designs.

As for the figures my plan is to get the following from the first wave at least;

Bumblebee
Brawl
Wreckage
Barricade
Ironhide
Ratchet
Prime (both Leader & Voyager class)

I'm just not sure about Jazz & Starscream. Megs - NO WAY!!

I LIKE Movie Meg

he looks evil, I miss that he doesn't have an arm cannon,
but he REALLY looks like a monster.

Do you think these figures will be worth much as collectibles in a few years? Would you recommend buying a set to store away unopened just for future value's sake? Or would you buy a few that you'd think would be valuable?

Comments???

You should buy every one you can, while you can.

Even if it means borrowing money from the bank.

They might proove valuble oneday, but I wouldnt recomend buying em on the offchance that they are.

Buy them cuase you want them, dont buy them for their potential monetary value in 20 years time.

I'm a huge fan of Transformers......I wouldn't only buy them just for the monetary value.

with toys being this widespread due to the movie the chance they will be collectable will be much lower, I believe, than those that are for the cartoons and less widely sold and not as heavily promoted.

Keep in mind that there will probably be lots who are collecting figs MIB for that purpose which may drive the value of the figs down until they are much rarer in that condition.

I'd say collect for yourself, not for investment.

I wholeheartedly agree. Classics pale in comparison to these guys. Why? Because we've been there, done that.

They stand alone as fantastic figures, but the movie designs are something new, something special we've never really had before.
