yeah it looks great in Lion mode, but then you transform it and it is like.. why?? what is the point of the teeny tiny head? the transformation is just so simple it really makes you wonder if it was worth the effort to transform it in the first place..

the whole head mane thingy that sits off the back of the figure... meh..

it is not worth it..

what they should have done was give him a pretty sweet detailed paint job..
So I may just buy him to repaint him (once he's properly repainted he looks great!.. I love Leo Prime and his story! and buying this mold, to repaint it is probably worth it, since there is not much that you have to do (not too much kibble to have to work around)

Robot Mode: WOW!!! :APPLAUSE: :APPLAUSE:

Altmode: Fantastic! :APPLAUSE:

I am so gonna do this to one of these molds.. and maybe even do other repaints! It's not a mold that i really care about so I think I can muster the courage to open a box, and actually repaint it! this is exciting!!

but I guess it is the tiny head that makes this figure painted or not, just look off..
if they fixed that and made his head larger somehow.. it would look allot better..

I wonder if there is some kind of way to mod the head without making him look like the new head is sinking into the body??

cause if you widen the torso and out a new larger head in there, it would look like his head is sinking into the body..

so either a modification makes the sides of the torso flip up, and the bigger head store beneath with the flaps covering it, or cut a bigger gap in the torso and risk having a shotty sunken neck figure..

I'm gonna try to do a digibash of this custom repaint and see what I get..

here is my digibash.. see with a slightly larger head, it makes the figures proportions fit better...Only problem is that the hole where the head is supposed to fit into is smaller then it should be..

anyways, i could definitely deal with him being more like that!

I dislike this mold even more than Armada Prime in Superrobot mode and that's saying something.

Thanks to Seibertron.com member Real Devastator for alerting us of the following new pictures of the upcoming Target Exclusive Leo Prime repaint.

This particular figure is made to look more like Lio Convoy, which was actually part of the Beast Wars II line in Japan.

We have previously posted some in-packages images of this figure but now we are happy to provide you with some new out of package photos as well.

We have mirrored the following images from KO TOYS for your viewing pleasure.

Ugghhh...It's a Sphinx with an Optimus head !

I guess I just never liked Beast Wars. I didnt even watch the series in my teens. But the details are nice though.

Personally, I still say that Hasbro should have found a way to bring the original mold over, if it hasn't been destroyed.

This figure would be fine if Hasbro hadn't gotten so lazy on the color scheme. Paint in those unpainted areas andthis figure would be more decent.

yep I made up my mind, when this figure goes on sale, I'm so buying it just to repaint it! I may even look for a Prime head to replace the figures version with..

Yes. It's closer in colors to its original Lio Convoy figure this time.

Why so many repaints of such a crappy mold? I'd buy the original Leo Prime in a second, this I'd give the finger to as I walked past it.
