For those who missed out on our Botcon 2009 Coverage, you would be in the blue about SDCC Exclusive Soundwave! San Diego Comic Con 2009 is rearing it's head, beginning July 23 till July 26.

For those missing out on a splendid G1 Soundwave, then this is clearly your answer. The Decepticon Boombox comes with Casettes; Ravage, Buzzsaw, Laserbeak, and Ratbat.

TFormers gives us another in-depth look at SDCC Soundwave, and you can check their gallery out here.

If you are unable to attend San Diego Comic Con 2009 and would like to purchase the figure, then our friends at BigBadToyStore will likely have the exclusive in stock very soon.

Stay tuned to Seibertron.com for your latest Transformers news!

Why does he never come with Rumble or Frenzy?

Added links for Ratbat and Buzzsaw's galleries. Working on a gallery of the SDCC set as well.

A buddy of mine is attending and hopefully bringing one home for me. I've never had a Ratbat before, so I'm psyched. I'm reserving a special place of honor for him on the shelf.

I've never had a G1 Soundwave so I'm totally buying this.

I hope it will be available on HTS. I'm not going to the Comic-con so I'll have to fight everyone when it becomes available online.

I'm happy that he's being re-released because when I started collecting again 3 years ago The TRU exclusive was at the top of my list but sadly I could not find it. So this release allows me to hit one of my landmark additions to my collection :D I am sad that there is no Rumble/Frenzy but I might find one while at comic con any way :D

Ratbat's stickers are a different design than the original G1 version. I'm very happy to have a reissue of Ratbat finally. He's one of my favorite characters/toys. :)

The reissue is the one on the right.

Won't it be on Hasbro Toy Shop after the Con? That's how I got my Alternators Rodimus last year.

So this is the single-tape version, huh? I have the dual-tape TRU exclusive, but I may have to grab this one too. Come on, HTS!

Huge Soundwave fan so I will be getting him off BBTS, since I can't go to The Comic con.

Needs to have Rumble and Frenzy!!

Next to Optimus Prime (and possibly Starscream), this mold is probably one of the most reissued transformers from G-1, ever!!

Not to mention that it's one of the molds with the most variations. I'd love to see a COMPLETE list detailing every variation between each mold and release. Throw in some packaging variants and you could easily end up with over 30 variations.

If he had rumble and frenzy it would be better but he is pretty cool. How much will he cost? :?:

Soundwave is definitely up there in the race of most used mold, but personally I can't find discontent with the bot. But now since we're finally getting Rumble n Frenzy in the upcoming mission set I think we might see yet another Soundwave re-issue-issue down the road with all his cassette counterparts to date!

I think as far as cost goes, if you're paying over 70 bux you're getting hosed and should hunt for a better deal!

If this guy is 70 bucks I'm passin big time.. I was gonna make him my first g1 Soundwave , just hope he's in the $50 range.. I'll pick up that 2 pack casette team with frenzy and rumble to go with their bossman.

You know what I'm kinda surprised at? This time last year we were seeing all sorts of awesome previews. By 6:00 Saturday last SDCC there were so many " =P~ :APPLAUSE: " emoticons threads were already 10 pages deep.

I get home from work this year and nothing. I'm so let down.

I was really looking forward to seeing the new Bludgeon, Lockdown, Breakdown, Seekers, ect.

That's because SDCC is next weekend.

I did put up the gallery of Soundwave and his cassettes though.
