Just at SDCC. If any are left, they will be at HTS. Probably for five minutes. :(

I'm still looking for help with getting this. If you can help, please contact me.

Are there any real differences between these and the originals?

That's not true. He was available in 1986 in a two-pack with Frenzy (the blue cassette) as a regular U.S. release.

I hate my life. They don't let me buy through the internet.
Stupid convention exclusives that never get international releases.

Ratbat's cassette deco is a little different. I think that's about it

I do find it both amusing and sad that the box art features the 'Soundblaster double-stack' tape door, instead of the 'G1 flat-chest' version of Soundwave that's in the box. Also that they have to call the casseticons "deployer figures", since obviously, no one alive today could possibly recognize a minicassette...

It says tapes on the box. Look towards the bottom of the front of the box.

I'm actually gonna be at SDCC this year (my first convention actually) and I was wondering if anyone knows how they usually sell these? Do you just get in a line by the hasbro table and buy them, or do you need to get a ticket at one place and then pick it up at another? Can anyone who's been to the SDCC before or any of the other conventions help me out?

Sold in stores? Highly doubtful. These con exclusives are only sold at the show. You might get lucky and find some on amazon, ebay or on the hasbro toy shop if any survive the inital convention.. I have a feeling that this guy is gonna be hard to find..I'm staying optimistic though, keeping my eyes peeled.. I'm not sure about the chicago comic con.. Like I said , you just have to keep your eyes peeled.especially to this site, news of of a fig like this being made available to the public is for sure gonna show up here with the quickness! :APPLAUSE:

There are sellers on eBay that are pre-selling this particular item. They pick them up when they go to the SDCC and ship them out. Pre-selling may sound fishy at first mention, but it's a legitimate option that is supported by eBay.

Simply search "SDCC soundwave" and you'll get a ton of results.

Convention exclusives by their very definition are never sold in stores. Sometimes I see people who are relatively new to the world of TF collecting ask for this to happen, but it's not going to.

Does anyone know when this set will be lised on HTS? Since the past SDCC exclusive figures had been listed on HTS on the first day of SDCC. I've been checking ths past 2 days and have not seen it listed yet.

I thought it was the first day after SDCC, so that Hasbro knows how many leftovers they have left to sell.

I'm watching HTS like a hawk for the next few days... I've missed out on some convention exclusives over the last few years but this is one set I really want.. The cassettes that come with it seal the deal for me..and with the set with Frenzy and rumble coming out soon too, this is a must have
