Looks very white, do you have to paint him too or do the stickers take care of that?
Looking forward to seeing more.

I does have stickers but the sticker sheet is only the size of two postage stamps. I'm going to be painting mine in the end. I don't know if this is normal for a kit but you have drill through the holes and cut pegs to fit them yourself. They do give you 3 different sized drillbits and dowels so as lng as you have a handy drill or dremal tool(and some experence with it), you'll be set!

Thanks for sharing with us Zodconvoy, thats real cool of you to take the time out. Good luck building Drift, I've never tried to put any model together so it will be cool to see the finished product on this bad boy.

Yes, that seems to be normal for resin kits. I have 2 Mashin Eiyuden Wataru resin kits from Plaguild and I still didn't assemble them but I've seen all the parts and the instructions and the holes also need to be drilled and the pegs must also be cut to fit them by ourselves. Resin kits seem pretty hard to assemble... Also, they seem to usually have to be fully painted. The ones I'm talking about are these:
http://www.plaguild.com/r-page/jyako.htmlhttp://www.plaguild.com/r-page/shinsei.htmlThey are really cool, but every time I look at them my thoughts are "these kits are in nightmare mode difficulty"

. I wonder if I'll ever assemble them... I bought the materials, but I still didn't have the time (and courage) to start them.

Hmm. I didn't realize this was going to be a kit.
Unassembled, unpainted, un-purchase for me.

As there were only 100 made in Singapore and they had first dibs, you'd probably be out of luck at this point anyway. Plus it cost $100 as a preorder and resale markup on this will be absolute murder. I got number 89 of 100 and I ordered it in the first hour it became available.
It's coming along well. I have all the excess and fittings trimmed and the shoulder assemblies worked out. It's kinda like a cross between customizing TF's, assembling a model and doing a jigsaw puzzle all at the same time. The wife wants to go out to dinner so I may not get it all finished tonight but I'm trying!

I received mine yesterday. It seems to be very rough and may require lots of sanding and polishing before painting and assembly. Haven't assembled it yet. Maybe tomorrow.

Pretty sweet. Can't wait to see completed pics. Looks like fun! I really hope we see this character in the Universe 3.0 line. (I can dream cant I?)

Looks interesting, if (h)armless! Did you take any WIP pics to show any of your processes involved? I'd like to see before/afters of the drilling etc. just out of interest, I'd never consider buying a kit like this cos I know I'd never get it built, but I'd try and screw it up anyway!
Nice one, so far.

The PVC pipes (that I misidentified as dowels) for the joint pins for the most part didn't fit the way they were supposed to which led to the shoulder breaks. It took 20 minutes of pushing and twisting and backing it out to try again for just one of the chest pins to fit. So when the large peg in the upper arm that connects it to the body broke in the hole because it was to tight to fit, I had to improvise and the middle sized drillbit it came with and repin it with ... a Q-tip. And it fit perfectly. So that became my standard peg method and as silly as it sounds, %80 of the assembling happened in the last hour of a very long day with this thing. There were also knobs on the forearms where the elbow peg goes through but they didn't allow the arms to fold in for the transformation. They're clearly shown as fitting in the directions but they had to go. I have to hit the craft store today to get something to make the arms stay on. The pegs that are supposed to hold it in place fall right outlike there's nothing even there. I can't even get one arm to stay in for one picture but when I fix it I'll let you know how!

As you can see the one on the left is drilled through and fixed with a bit of Q-tip. Improvising is the name of the game!

So how do I know when I'm supposed to get mine or if I'm even getting one. I preordered right around the same time you did, Zod. Did they ever communicate with you? They accepted my payment that's fore sure, but other than my paypal receipt I've never heard anything. I would assume if the preorder was sold out when I submitted my payment it would have been returned or something. How was this shipped?

Looks really cool, what colour scheme were you going to go with?

All I received was the Paypal receipt and on June 27 I got an email with scans of the comic it came with. I joined the SGC when I ordered it, maybe that's why I got the comic email? It was sent standard mail and delivered by my regular mailman.

I'm going to have to paint it white first as the parts are an eggshell color and it's so thin it's translucent in spots. For the red I'm thinking a bright bright red. Everything else I'm going to have to refer to his few comic appearences for.

Was it sent certified/restricted? My mailman attempted to deliver something today that was, but obviously I wasn't here to sign for it. Now I'll have to wait until Monday to see what it was.

Great job, Zodconvoy.
I got mine a couple of days ago and haven't had chance to assemble/paint it yet. My biggest gripe is that mine didn't come with the decals.
Off to look at back issues of AHM to sort out a colour scheme...

I'm confident I will get my set tomorrow. The postman tried to deliver a package Saturday that required a signature, and we aren't expecting anything else.
