So all the hooplah about Devastator and his price and then I was wondering about the masterpieces too. I was wondering what is the biggest transformer that has been made? I dont mean just height. I mean the most mass/plastic in a single figure. The biggest I own is Omega Supreme from energon.

And as Unicron never made it past prototype stage in the 80's, Fortress Maximus wins by default.

To compair it to your Energon Omega Supreme, here it is compaired to Armada Unicron, then A Unicron to G1 Fortress Maximus, both from our own toy galleries. Seriously, Fort Max was the size of half the kids lucky enough to get him back in the day!

Back in the 80's, toys were really toys! To quote Ratrap in BW, "this wasn't built, it was poured!"(Reference to the Ark)and Die-cast built or something.......a lost art" just paraphrasing.

Unicron did not get past the full manufacturing phases but heck........those bruisers were BIG! They had die-cast and could easily kill a kid when dropped hehehe

To quote Optimus Primal: "Die-cast construction, it's a lost art"

And Fortress Maximus never had die-cast as he was released in 1987, past the "transition phase" from partially metal to completely plastic. Unicron could have had metal, but that's unlikely.

@JelzeGoldRabbit :-B I beg to disagree my friend. I own a Fortress Maximus, I know he has die-cast parts. Where? Check the central tower foundation. Do I get a "No-Prize"?

For my second "No-Prize", the left leg of Fort Max had a double artillery mount which is also die-cast.

To prove that I own one:

Still looks plastic to me :P But I'll take your word for it. Anybody else willing to turn this self-proclaimed know-it-all around?

Heck, I only did that until I dug my Omega Sentinel out of deep storage! Here's my Car Robots Brave Max, A Unicron, E OS and Primus all for scale.

The left leg large guns (around the back of the leg in robot mode) and the shiny "core" piece in the center of the torso are diecast metal otherwise the weight and torque would tear the whole thing apart. It's a fraking monster!

Not that it really counts for anything, but I believe that Energon Omega Supreme's Supertrain alt mode is the longest TF ever.

They're almost dead even. Max is longer with the canopy on Omega's crane closed. That and the whole "cram the crane up the battleships butt" thing is almost too weird to consider a valid altmode!

@ zodconvoy......thanks. I rest my case......Fort Max has die-cast parts.

@ Jelze Goldrabbit, I think it should be the other way around, my being a "self-proclaimed know it all". I don't think I should be considered one because my statements are based on facts ('cause I own a Fort Max) :-B while yours was on supposition.......

Fenrir, Jelze was calling HIMSELF a "self-proclaimed know it all".

That I did. But even I am prone to mistakes, as shown in this thread :P

And I'm Prime enough to also admit my misinterpretation. #-o Sorry about that Jelze Goldrabbit. And thanks Valandar. Anyways, waxing nostalgic, them toys of yesteryears were really awesome, hands down. From the G.I. Joe General Flagg, Fort Max and the never released Unicron ver. 1...............the closest toys(TF wise) that even comes close to taking your breathe away are the MP series.
