I can only afford one.

cyb Metroplex or cyb Menasor

if YOU had to choose one, which would you?

That's a tough call, because neither in my opinion is necessarily better than the other becuase neither is all that good. I have them both and do enjoy both of them, but picking one is a challenge. Metroplex is more posable and has a slew of transformation possibilities if you use your imagination, but Menasor is cooler looking. Neither alt mode makes much sense of any kind.
Well, I wanted to help, but don't think I can. If you can find both for cheap, like on clearance, then just get them both and make it easy.
If you really can get only one, I'm going to side with Metroplex by a hair. Not a big hair either.

Metroplex Vs. Menasor???

I have both and both are cool! However, if you only have money for one...my recommendation is buy Metroplex!

Menasor is cool too!

I got Metroplex for $10 at Walmart, it shouldn't be that much of a break in the bank to get both.

Unless his/her Wal-Marts are like mine :( Bastages still have all the Cybertron stuff at full MSRP.

Or mine. Miles and miles of Metroplex, at the discount rate of $34.99 each. I missed the Target sale by a day.

Of the two, even if space constraints are no concern, I'd get Menasaur. Better looking robot. Besides, doesn't the Cyb. Metroplex have a 'Bernie Mac' face?

what planet is that walmart on?

btw, thanx for your responses, some very useful comments
I appreciate!

Menasor is indeed cooler looking, Metroplex indeed seems
to be a little bit more versatile of a toy to play with :)

bot mode-
menasor wins big time! metroplex does have a
bernie mac face! I guess he's been eating too many
cheese burgers since his G1 days!
menasor has a unique evil looking face, like some cool
knight!

alt mode-
metro use to be a base, now he is the construction
thingy, ouch did he get depromoted or what?
other than historical references, its not too bad.
menasor to me is cool in this form as well.
I would love to harass my GF with his "drills"

gimmicks-
metro wins this one, midget mode, tall guy mode,
and a few other "creative" ones not in the booklet.
although I like menasors, stashing the minicon like a
gundam pilot!!!!! DANG that is cool. also those simple
yet enjoyable moving drill.

price-
they BOTH SUCK!

I guess it comes down to looks versus gimmicks...
and overall even though he got his butt wiped in
looks, metro wins by a hair.....

Planet Crazy, apparently. I forgot to mention that I actually paid $3.00 each for 2 of them. The full price was $10.00 each, but they both came with extra Clockers....

Ya, my local Wal-Mart, has totally cleared out Cybertron, but I find a Overhaul and minicons, so I go and scan them the minicons are completely out of the system and Overhaul was still the same price.

But at the other Wal-marts around here they still have Cybertron for full price, and it is disgusting since my Gf works at Target and Cybertron went down to 6 something but then they marked classics down even lower, mini-cons were like 1.74 and I would have been getting her discount, cents but by the time I waited there were no more dionbots left to get.

Very frustrating how the clearance works, I was at on Wal-Mart last night they had Metroplex, I keep wanting to get him due to the bot mode but the alt is terrible.

Menasor was very neat looking in bot mode, but his alt mode was a little out there too, the digibash someone did into Omega Supreme was nice.
