I recommend automatontoys.com. They don't have the largest inventory of items but they have a good variety of both Hasbro and overseas/Takara items. They also have a $9.99 flat shipping rate for Canadian addresses. The condition for the shipping rate is:

"The Flat Rate policy applies to any order under or equal to 7.0 kg volumetric worth of stock, which is roughly the equivalent of a 2' cube box full of items. Some specific, very heavy or huge items, are not elligible to our Flat Rate policy. Those items are clearly marked on our website. If your order is actually over 7.0 kg/volumetric, our website will automatically calculate the shipping cost for your item(s)."

I ordered TFA deluxe Ratchet and Lockdown as well as leader Bulkhead from them. The order hasn't arrived yet but when it does, I'll update this thread to confirm the quality of the service.

Automaton toys is pretty solid. For some reason, I still stick to BBTS, even though customs is absolutely terrible.

Other Canuck stores include:

Golden Age Toys;
and
Kool Toyz

If you're interested in the Fansproject City Commander add-on re-issue for Classics Ultra Magnus, check out this thread. Automaton Toys is offering the re-issue, which comes with the TFX-03 add-on set(missile launchers and a transforming 2 weapon mode rifle). They're also offering the TFX-03 separately.

Helpful thread, thanks. I'm another idiot Canadian that seems slaved to BBTS and the never ending slew of customs charges.

I'm hoping this thread gets updated as more Canadians find good online toy stores. At the very least, it has helped me find some good options for online ordering.

Well I could give a handful of other Canadian online stores, but their prices are ridiculous and it's better to buy recent figures in retail. If you're really interesting in obtaining figures from within the country than the community at Cybertron.ca can easily help. Their B/S/T forum works wonders, as I've gotten a couple of figures, old and new, from many of the members there. Also, many do local sales, so if you're in the right city, you might not have to wait weeks for an arrival of a figure via shipping. Don't get your hopes high if you're from Edmonton though, anything local usually gets a look by myself :)

There was a great toy store in West Edmonton Mall a few years back. I was only there once while passing through for work. Overpriced but a great selection. No idea of the name anymore. There wasn't that many toy stores to choose from however.
