Attention Canadian collectors! City Commander w/TFX-03 add on available at a Canadian store
Posted: Wed Aug 05, 2009 10:38 pmHopefully my fellow Canadian collectors will check this thread as I'd like to bring to their attention that automatontoys.com has just listed the City Commander set w/TFX-03 add on. It's priced at $109.99 CAD, which is a bit higher than the $88.99 USD C9 box price at BBTS and $88.95 USD C9 box price at TFSource. However, the CC set is covered under the $9.99 CAD flat rate shipping to Canadian addresses, which is a lower shipping fee than any non-Canadian dealer I've come across so far.
I'm pre-ordering from automatontoys.com because it'll show interest for import items from Canadian customers. As a Canadian collector, I often have to rely upon eBay and foreign toy dealers to fulfill my collection needs. Most of my purchases have been from either Asia or the United States. I have no problem with purchasing from outside Canada if necessary but the shipping fees can exceed a quarter of the total cost of an order. So, by supporting a Canadian dealer, hopefully it'll help them continue their business and expand their inventory to offer more non-retail products. I'll be paying an extra $12 or so but it's for the cause of helping Canadian collectors in the long run! If I decide to purchase more items, as long as the entire order doesn't exceed 7.0 kg volumetric worth of stock, the shipping fee will remain $9.99 CAD.
I know it looks like I'm an advertiser for the dealer but I'm just seeing a good opportunity for my fellow Canadian collectors in this community to help one of our dealers, which in turn will help us in the long run. So, actually, I guess this isn't purely an altruistic act on my part.
I'm just very, very, VERY pleased to be able to purchase a City Commander set at a non-inflated price and the bonus is that I can order from a Canadian store. Unfortunately, the TFX-03 add on accessory pack isn't listed alone so I'm firing off an e-mail to inquire about it because I want to order it for the rifle/cannon for my D.I.A. Commander and shoulder missile launchers for my Shadow Commander.
(If the mods thinks this belongs with the City Commander re-release proof? thread, please feel free to merge this in with the thread. I didn't want to derail that thread so I created this separate thread.)
