Soo....is he going to come w/2 different head molds? Cause the 2 shown in the first two pics are the original sculpt & an anime-ish one respectively. Either way, I'm all for picking this guy up. He seems like all kinds of win.

Very cool, I like the anime head mold. If there are indeed two head molds for this figure, the deal is sealed for me and my wallet hurts more and more.

looks good, but if it costs the same or even close to the full sized version forget it. i'm all for supporting the little guy, but let's be realistic most of the things i see for sale from these guys and fp are way outside my price range for what they are. $30-40 then yes, any more than that, pass, i already have the origanal mold on the shelf

I'm all over this.
I wonder if they'll downsize their upcoming MP trailer for him as well?

Pardon an idiot question, but is he in-scale with Classics Prime?

This figure is pure win for me. I owned Masterpiece Optimus and Megatron but I
really didn't like the size. Hope this one is without big metal parts. And Megatron
is also getting this treatment! Are there any comparison pictures with Classics?
The extra anime head is very cool also.

Prior to the announcement of MP1B Black Convoy, the creator of the mini MP prime has mentioned that he will produce Black version as well...
I just really hope that they will make the black version to Nemesis Prime with Decepticon logo....

Ah, another iGear idea. Well, that figures.
Considering the scale of the current MP line, this is a welcome addition. That is .... if it ever comes out.

I am totally and completely in awe!! two head sculpts!!! anime, and the original version!! nice!!!
but what if they go and do the entire molds in two different colors??
like they release 1 that is the G-1 version, and then a 2nd release that is just the anime colored version with light blue colored windows and such??
either way, i'm buying this guy! he looks about leader class size from the images.. I wonder if he'd be the same size as FP Ultra Magnus City commander, or taller?? I think he'd probably be a bit taller..

Nice.. And since Optimus's bot form is really supposed to be a lot taller than the rest of the bots he is somewhat in correct scale with the classics line (he looks to be about as tall as Silverbolt).
I am all on this!!!!

what is so cool about this, is that they are working on a same scale sized MP Megatron!! hmmm I wonder if they will release a Diaclone Black variant?? Man those Igear Bases are gonna rock! if they made those the size of the classics line, then it makes sense to do mini MP's so they'll fit in scale with their own base sets..
I love it!! Igear's masterplan!!

igears is now just a over glorified KO company. I find it sad that the room to make something new will be overshadowed easily by a KO. They even copied the base for the second prime head from this Optimus Prime head statue. Compare it for yourself here:
http://www.starstore.com/acatalog/optim ... bust-l.jpgTo be fair, if Hasbro wasn't going to come after the third party groups before, they will for sure now. This might even make it harder to get products by FansProject or Impossible Toys. Hasbro could just send a legal letter to BBTS and any other retailer and stop them from bringing any items that are based off their IP. If you guys want new and exciting stuff like the FP Protector addon, then supporting a bootleg like this will not help.

I was originally gonna pass on this one but after seeing him next to the other MPs, I'm now interested in getting one.

Dang, I never thought about it like this. I probably sound stupid for this but my common sense was out the door about legal problems because I just saw a pretty good looking quality downsized MP Optimus Prime. Hmm...I've been kind of high on the exciting(for me anyways) state of 3rd party producers lately but all it takes is Hasbro to send a letter to stop things.

It's a KO for sure. But I can tollerate this. THe fact that it's scaled down to fit in with the Classics line is a plus for me. If it's a reasonable price I will deffinately get one for myself.
I would also like to see a trailer for him.

I wonder if they'll create a 'short smoke-stacks' version? I have a tendancy to jam toys straight into my eyes with wanton disregard

The regular haed looks more show-accurate than the anime head.

Yeah but I like the anime head for its quirky look. I'm always on the lookout for that version of OP's helmet in various media like in this Visualworks depiction of him using Silverbolt as a mode of transportation.

You hit it right on the head here. At least in the US, this product could be very hard to get if Hasbro decides to bring down the hammer on the retailers, probably same in Japan too with Takara. Simply up or down sizing a figures is just a KO-and illegal. If HasTak can't stop them from being produced, they can definitely make them hard to get.
iGear's making me nervous now. Their KOs and reckless promotion of them could eventually screw things up for FP and others with original ideas.

FP probably will still be safe, as their products are mainly add on/accessories. Also those are new ideas, not yet copying HasTak intellectual properties.
Those people doing Drift, Arcee, down size MP, Autoscout, HOS Prime and any other transforming figures, better watch out..... Lately 3rd parties products getting more mainstream and loud, i think it is inevitable that HasTak will take some form of actions
