ROTF toys.

ok since ROTF it interested me into buying the toys... now i lost interest. best part is it was quickly so i can return most of them. so should i just return them all and buy prime?
my first ones i thought were gonna be cool but they are not that interesting now.

first mudflap and demolisher (demolisher sucks, mudflap is eh)
then sidwswipe ( eh hes ok)
then the fallen (terrible waste of money)
then jolt and the ice cream twins. ok cool at first i know, but now im bored. ( jolt had a backpack and the ice cream twins are now uninteresting after too many times to be played with)
and i just bought ironhide. ok he is just terrible. i didnt think he'd be that bad. seriously.

my brother bought rachet and hes the only good one. :|

so what do you think, do you think theyre a waste of money or do you like them? suggestions on keeping them, cause i want an itunes gift card alot right now :\

It's all a matter of opinion really. If you like them or if you don't...it is pretty much up to you.

I do want to ask one thing though. Are you planning on taking back even the ones you played around with until you got bored? If so, then that is kind of weak. It sounds like you made too many purchases at once and maybe should have thought before ya bought. Taking back opened, used figures that are defective is one thing. Taking back opened, used figures that are perfectly fine except for the fact that you are sick of them is quite a different matter.

you got it all mixed up.... ratchet is supposed to be the terrible one!

.... if theres any rotf figure you should keep, it should be jetpower prime. so get a leader prime and a leader jetfire and combine the two. you wont be disappointed....

yeah thats what my parents said, so they arent really old anyway.

im gonna get a refund for ironhide since he doesnt transform properly, and mudflap/skids ice cream van is only a little bit old, maybe a week? yeah a week exactly, and then the fallen is from july 29 soo.. yeah

what happened was i figured out some figures really suck and i dont want them

so could i like go sell them on ebay if they are used and like new? and if so like full price cause i have them all literally in excellent condition and the only thing missing is mudflaps missile. they have the boxes for most of them (except for the egypt background for the fallen, and they ahh have been transformed only 10 or less (ironhide was 2 ><)

I'd keep sideswipe if I were you. He's actually 80% movie accurate and crazy poseable, and for a deluxe toy, that's a real feat.

I applaud you for getting rid of Demolishor. He's one of, if not THE WORST figure in the ROTF toyline. Non-scale with other ROTF figures, non-poseable.... Might make a cool paperweight if I got it as a gift or something, but otherwise, meh.

The rest is up to your personal taste, since I neither love nor hate them.

BTW, how long have you been keeping the figures? Will the store allow you to return them, even if you had a receipt?

As far as HA Bumblebee is concerned, DON'T SELL HIM even if someone put a gun to your girlfriend's head and threatened to pull the trigger if you won't :) He's the best movie Bumblebee you'll ever find in any class. Keep him.

HA Sideswipe? If you could get over his fat thighs, he's okay. Personally, I didn't buy him because I didn't even like the look of him--his face looked kind of puffy to me.

That is very good advise. I got those two, and the combo is great. And HUGE! Only trouble is the cost of getting both of them which might be a concern. If you have the money, then you need to get those for sure.

I think you almost have to keep Sideswipe too. He is seriously one of the best figures ever-he looks unbelieveable in both modes. Also, HA BB is awesome, but if you aren't totally into the RoTF toy line it is probably a waste of $30-$35 for ya.

if you want ROTF Leader Jetfire, Amazon still have him for original price with free shipping and free tax. I'd keep Sideswipe just bc it's one of the best deluxe figures and ice cream twins simply bc it looks kewl :P

yeah im not gonna buy any HA unless they come out with a better ironhide cause that was ridiculous. the front of the truck parts didnt keep in place in robot mode, a bigger head than prime, and his arms stuck out from under his truck! lol

but HA bumblebee would be the only one id buy. if i got optimus prime thatd be sweet, and i cant find jetfire for my life :Phes impossible to find.

Ok, I love the ROTF toy line, especially Demolisher, ya know why. I can make him:
Poseable...
(DUH DUH DUH....... erm...)
I Made the arms point out and then now I can stand him up and such, and the ice cream twins are a bit smaller than the Deluxe, but they're still cool, I guess, and Jolt is just awesome! AWESOME!!!!
The Fallen is not a waste of money he rox.
Starscream is aye ok best starscream eva, but wait, in 2010 they will make a leader starscream... I spoke too soon.........
I gots lots of ROTF toys and I need 9 more to complete the people that were in the movie.
Arcee
Flareup
(Only Autobots I need to complete autobots in movie)
(If they make a voyager repaint of demolishor): Scavenger
(If they make a deluxe): Hightower
Long Haul
(If they make a Voyager): Overload
Scrapper
Grindor
Scorponok.
Those would be the only ones I would need to complete the guys that were in the movie, of course, since this post was made on the 15th of August of 2009, I might have them for future viewers of this post.
I don't know if the second grin worked cuz I typed it in......

If you think the figure really sucks (Like Demolisher) then maybe you can return him but if you just got bored with him then that's your problem and taking it back is immoral. Selling it on ebay isn't immoral but you may not get full price back.

I think the reason why Ironhide doesn't transform properly is that you haven't mastered it. He is a hard one to change but a great figure - screen accurate and pose-able.

I keep wondering why Jetfire's such a rare figure. Most of the stores I checked keep complaining that the Jetfire stock that came in from the manufacturer was only a fraction of what they ordered.

WTF?

Well, I am unsure as far as which editions of the figures you may be talking about. The only RoTF figures I've purchased so far are the Robot Replicas of The Fallen, Megatron, and Prime and I also bought those same characters in the Voyager class.

The replicas are really neat but a bit pricey. The Voyager class is pretty nice but the plastic on many of the figures feels really thin and cheap; like a toddler's toy. I'm not sure if they're really worth the $22-$23 price range but that's up to each individual. Not to mention figures, like Prime and Megatron, have some bulky parts attached to their back when you put them into robot form. I also thought I was about to break them at certain points of the transformation; and the transformations are exceptionally difficult so it would be wise to keep the instructions.

So far I do like the RoTF figures...I just wish they were made from a better plastic.

Unfortunately plastic is a concern with many of the toylines that have been released lately. The 2007 Movie, Animated and now Revenge of the Fallen have brittle plastic, or plastic that just isn't the same as series like Armada, Energon or Cybertron. However it's not a loss for a loss. The thinner plastic gives way for more aesthetically pleasing figures and alot more articulated figures.

On Ironhide, if you are talking about those "headlight flaps" on his robot mode shoulders when you refer to the "front of truck parts," I know of a simple correction. If you press the bottom spring hinges connecting the body to the front section downward lightly, they will stay in place. I used this idea on my 2007 Ironhide. Though it won't solve all of the problems you have with him, the suggestion i mentioned might help you change your mind on Ironhide.

The Voyager Optimus and Megs are really neat figures. I have no comment on Leader Megs as I don't have that figure, but the Voyager figures are nicely detailed and do the best they can to make the figure look as much as their movie counterpart as possible. The smoke stacks for Optimus, in vehicle form, seem to be pretty loose and flimsy. But they are used for his cannons and that does look awesome!

Megatron, in robot mode, looks awesome as well, but the jet pack on the back of him makes it look a bit awkward. Actually...let me take some pics and actually show ya. It'd be better than me describing it... I apologize for poor picture quality.

What's great about Prime and Megs is that there is a clear piece of plastic on the back of each head where, if you hit the light right, the light will make it look like the eyes are glowing. You see this with the Prime figure in my pics there.

That is light piping. And it is great. I tend to like the light piping for depecticon figures a little better, since they are noramally red. Universe Cyclonus has excellent piping-one of the best IMO. Also, HA BB has really good light piping.

Yeah, Cyclonus' light piping is great. It seems to catch light so well and the eyes really light up nicely.

They really do. No question he is one of the best figures anyway, but his light piping is really a nice plus.
