The-Arker has found some images of an as-of-yet-unseen box set for the ROTF line; the Super Tuner Throwdown box set, which contains two deluxe figures, Blowpipe, a repaint of Dropkick from the first movie line, and ROTF Sideways, who appears to be unchanged from his debut toy.

Blowpipe is... not much of a repaint. They just covered up the giant Decepticon logo. :?

Hey look. The back of the box indicates sideways "push to spin saw blade" this is a definite get if sideways actually has his gimmick

Did Hasbro actually run out of ideas for repainting the figures?

Hm, if Sideways' gimmick actually works then I might get this. I like the Dropkick mold anyway and a repaint is fine too.

wtb new molds instead of repaints, pissed off bc I just bought Sideways this weekend. Seems like this is a dark variant of Sideways too, might consider this box set bc I never got Dropkick and if Sideways actually has his gimmick.

Maybe it's a Kickback tribute, both of those molds have a Kickback feel to them.

Very lazy Dropkick repaint.

They could have gone a nice easy green or yellow and made the set much more appealing. (or gone crazy with 1990's neon colours..)

I already have salvage the 1st repaint of dropkick. Dunno if i need another of the same mold and i doubt the gimick for sideways is fixed. His mechalive is spinning gears inside his arm.

That actually would have been OK. If these guys were repainted in Insecticon colors, at least here would be SOMETHING interesting about them.

I still stand by my statement of "Accurate" Screen-Battles.

How about Voyagers Optimus, Voyager Starscream, Voyager Megatron and Voyager Grindor, all in accurate colours with the Human Alliance Sam figure included in the mix.

I'd love to see that. But for this set, I might buy it because I don't have Dropkick and I'd like a replica of the R8 to sell to my friend since he's a car fanatic! :P

Maybe Blowpipe is Dropkicks twin, and one is evil the other is good??? I can't say Blowpipe with a straight face, seriously couldn't they come up with a different name??

Ok, maybe I am missing something here, but why are they calling this the "Super Tuner Showdown" set?

"Tuning" is slang for heavily modding your vehicle, of which the Dropkick/Salvage/Blowpipe mold is an example. It's lowered, big spoiler, tinted windows, fancy grill, ground effects, etc. Though, I really don't think Sideways is all that customized. Cybertron Downshift, but that was already done with Big Daddy.

My spider senses tell me this is a K-Mart exclusive. It's not the right size for CostCo or Sam's Club. It's not repainted enough for Wal-Mart or Target.

Blowpipe? Is that the best they could come up with?

It's Classic G1 name for a Targetmaster, a gun that turned into a robot. Respect those elders my dear boy. ;)

And that set puts me in a pickle. I want Dropkick, for sure, but Blowpipe is practically the same, except he's an Autobot. I'm gonna wait on comparison pictures, as I know from experience that blue to purple are very fickle colors.

:o Wow, that's cool. Blowpipe looks awesome! I have Dropkick, but missed on Salvage. Maybe this will make up for that. The blue color just has a certain awesomeness to it. I'll be getting. Also, I only have FAB Sideways, so I'll be getting a Decepticon I don't have a Deluxe version of, either.
