So, Slave 1/Boba Fett is getting its third release in the same color scheme?

Already have the first version of the V-wing, but that white one looks tempting.
Slave-1 again? For everyone that missed it the first five times?

I agree that resources shouldn't be wasted on questionably designed figures but as a fan of Star Wars, I do dream of exceptionally designed crossover Transformers using SW concepts. So far, both the Marvel and SW Transformers are a bit of a disappointment for me.

Here we go again...I really hate these things. No offense to any who likes them, but they just go against every reason I love Transformers in the first place. I hate human action figures, super heroes, dolls, etc. So why cross them with robots ?

Wow! That Droid Tank looks great!
I gotta admit I am actyually a fan of the SWTFs, but only the ones with helmet/droid heads and not Roboticized people faces with metal hair. The clones look especially good (while, granted, some of them have bad poseability and I could have likely come up with a better Transformation scheme on some vehicles).

Hehe, parsecs!

Hmm, you make a good point! I'm getting into the customizing game so I've been looking around for a source of spare parts. Hopefully these will be around long enough to go on clearance and I'll pick up a few to disassemble for mods.

+1 for good paint apps, I can't count how many times I had to look through pegs of Animated TFs to find a figure with good paint apps that you can see, then you have to cross your fingers that the paint apps that you can't see are good.

Glad to see that they are releasing Boba Fett again since I missed him the first "5 times" he came out. The others look pretty good too and I may pick them up at some point.

And seriously folks it's not like we haven't seen Hasbro do the repack/repaint thing before. For crying out loud they do it all the time with TF.

Hasbro stop wasting time on this horrible line and start making ROTF Voyager Class High Tower and Scrapper.

;;)

Here's a http://www.rebelscum.com/story/front/Whats_Next_For_Transformers_Crossovers_125791.asp to some pics of battle droid and clone pilot from Rebelscum.com. The battle droid is pretty bland in the color department.

I've only ever bought one (well, two; I'll get to that) Star Wars Transformers - the first Commander Cody/Turbo Tank. Great vehicle mode and excellent robot-mode; especially when compared to all the other robot-modes.

I was waiting anxiously for the AT-TE walker, and was so pleased to see him for the first time last week at Zellers up here in New Brunswick, Canada. Of course, I bought it.

Unfortunately, when I got it home I discovered a factory error - it has two right hands. I returned it but there were no more on the shelves. I didn't feel like asking if they had any in the back.

Anyhoo...

Obvious answer: because people keep buying them.

I have a couple, like the Turbo Tank, that I got and really like. I also used some, as others have suggested, as custom fodder. I bashed the Palpatine/shuttle into Kup. It turned out pretty sweet!

But I have to admit many in this line are pretty crappy designs.

If High Tower's robot mode is like the one dipicted on EZ Devastator, I'd pass on that figure. However, I do want Scrapper and Overload made. :APPLAUSE:

Hightower has no true Robot Mode. That EZ figure's Robot Mode is pure imagination.

Doesn't have to be. So there was concept art for Overload's robot mode and a toy was made based off that, according to the films onscreen appearances he had no bot mode. I say that Overload got concept art because he was originally slated to have screen time which got cut, and High Tower didn't so he got no art. Takara, an equally valid place for designs to come from, saw a gap that needed filling and filled it. Hasbro could then, very easily, go "hey, design work was done for us and we know that anything we make will sell, pretty much, so we can make an upscaled version of him for profits sake". The fact that in the EZ set he HAS a robot mode does not mean it is "pure imagination", it means it is fact. If it were a kitbash, custom or fanart then it would be as you say.

Hasbro dropped other successful TF lines and this is allowed to persist. This is why I support Euthanasia!
