Anyone else not finding any movie figures?

I'm finding this extremely odd. My TRU had movie figures first (granted it was before they were supposed to be out) and now I am able to find nothing. I have 2 TRU's, 2 Wal-Marts and 2 Targets within driving distance and none of them have even heard of Hasbro releasing the deluxes early. I'm really not understanding this. It is a nationwide release right? Hell a few of the stores don't even have the protoforms out yet. The new Target has an entire huge area cleared for the movie figs with giant "Check back on June 2nd" signs attached to the pegs. THIS IS MADNESS!!! THIS! IS! RETAILLL!!!

If they were released early they may have taken them off the shelves. Your store would have received their stock ready for simulteneous release accross the country but some overeager staff put them on the shelves straight off the truck. It happens, I've done it.

I get that. But why, now that they figures are officially released, are there no figures on the shelves anywhere. I would assume that if Hasbro was willing to give us slack jawed yokels notification of this, that the stores would get some notice as well.

When did you notice this? Was it at the weekend or during the week? Most head-office guys don't work weekends so some stores may have not been sent the memo until tomorrow.

I went out today... And the Hasbro notice was like a week ago. The deluxes were supposed to be released to coincide with the trailer.

Don't know then mate. If it's really puzzling you maybe ask the store manager or one of the staff.

Check out you local Fred Meyer. I picked up Optimus and Blackout today along with some deluxe figures. They also had the real gear toys, mini figures and the Optimus Prime Helmet.

word has gotten out to scalpers by now that these toys are out, hence they're starting to disappear.
at least that's what happens around these parts XD

I agree with Nightwatcher. In the Toledo, Ohio, area I've seen protoforms at TRU, a K-mart, and one Target. The Meijer and Wal*Mart still only have Cybertron and Classics. I hope they get Movie toys by the release or I'll order my Leader Prime from Hasbro unless I find a good price on eBay (yeah right!). Stores are flooded with Spidey 3 stuff of course.

You ever been out to the Sandusky stores by the mall? That's where I was today and they had nothing. Was so disheartening.
And a question for everyone. Is Fred Meyer and Meijers the same store? If not, then I have no Fred Meyer stores around me.

The only thing in the Western Suburbs of Chicago are the Protoforms. We always get toys later than the rest of the country, it seems. When people in Australia were enjoying the Classics Magnus/Skywarp 2-pack, my Targets didn't even have a spot on the shelves for it. Guys in downtown Chicago are finding the movie deluxes, but I got "nuthin" out here...

Not sure if Fred Meyers and Meijers are the same. I went to 3 targets, 2 Wal-Marts, and a TRU the past few days and found nothing or just protoforms. I don't usually go to Fred Meyers but just happened to go today, I was pretty excited to get Prime and Blackout when I was expecting nothing! Can't wait to get the rest.

I have 2 Toys R Us, 4 Targets, 8 Meijer, 6 WalMarts and 2 Kmarts. Meijer doesn't even have the protoforms. Everyplace else, that's all they have.

Well I found out that the two stores (Meijers and Fred Meyers) are not the same. In fact I only have on Fred Meyers anywhere near me. And that's 96 miles away. Ah well.

Yup. They are two completely different chains. Meijer is mostly in Michigan with a few stores in Indiana, Ohio and Kentucky.
Meijer is also the worst at restocking. The majority of their Transformers stock is still Cybertron with a few wave 2 Classics.

That's actually how almost all my stores are at the moment. The amount of stocked product in all the aisles is so freaking lackluster around here it's amazing. It's like rejects from Kmart are running all of these stores.

I'll be the one to mention that I spotted at least 4 or 5 cases along with the bumblebee unleashed statue last night and I had even planned to purchase barricade at the walmart I work at , but it turned out that the express checkout lane rejected the sale , so i wasn't able to buy from my lame store . mustve been obvious that they don't want any profit

Nope. No movies toys, and I've been to 11 Wal-marts, 3 Targets, 2 TRU's and 4 K-marts. I did find one of those K-marts with FAB's and Real Gears, but they wouldn't sell it to me. And none of the employees I talked to (when I could find them) had any idea about the press release. I spent an hour in a Wal-mart on Saturday just trying to find out anything definitive, but then couldn't get anyone in toys to help me, and then couldn't get a manager (too busy to talk to me).
I know movie toys will be everywhere on the 2nd, but if I'm not supposed to be looking, why did Hasbro make a press release about availability? If this was a movie release that had been bumped up, or a music or game release, then we'd all be able to find it. Long ago, I worked at Best Buy (shudder) and when an album had to be released ahead of street date (usually due to online leaks) then that album went out immediately, and the order came down from the home office. Any store that didn't comply faced fines. I don't know why this is any different.

I'm here in Seattle where some on TFW2005.com found and purchased a leader class Optimus from a Fred Meyer in town. Yet, when I look at the 3 Fred Meyers, 2 Targets, 4 Walmarts, 1 TRU and 1 K-Mart in any reasonable distance from me all I find are the fugly protoform figures.

Ultra Prime, I got my leader class Optimus at the Fred Meyer in Marysville. They had three left on the top shelves. I know its a bit of a drive, just thought I would let you know!
