Nice homage of G1 colour scheme but unfortunately it does look a bit flat and Tonka-ish. Thanks for the photos. :)

Real Devatstor brings us new images of the G1-style recolour of ROTF Mixmaster, courtasy of ACToys. This version even comes with a new head mold to further differentiate it from it's original version.

The most interesting addition to this paint scheme is the inclusion of the phrase "Ol' Lefty" which is a nod to the fact that in G1, Mixmaster formed Devastator's left leg.

Check out the full gallery of the new Mixmaster here, though you'll have to scroll down a bit.

While you're at it, compare him to his original mold and G1 Mixmaster

The more I look at it, the more appealing it is. However, the original RotF colour scheme seems to fit a tad better. Also I like the original's gigantic Decepticon symbol on the back.

A few touch ups with paint and this would be great, a black drybush will bring out detail, and maybe a bit of a muddy paint job on the wheels, and the front, maybe on the cement mixer part and there you go

So much better than the original version. If the first version had better colors for the robot mode it might be worth buying as well but im just going to pick up the G1 version when it comes out. I like the "ol lefty" marking. Not many people are going to get it though. Just those of us who know G1. But thats also a good thing.

I'm feeling this one except its new head mold and the lack of Decepticon symbol on the back. (:|

It's interesting that we're getting a G1 colors homage specifically of ROTF Mixmaster and not any other Constructicon character (yet). Could it be because Mixmaster isn't included in the "Classics" series Devastator gift set? Not that it would be a good substitue for a "Classics" Mixmaster, given the differences in aesthetics and scale, but it's the thought that counts?

God that's ugly. That's more than ugly...green and purple are so played out it's pathetic. The colors on the original version were so much better.

Am I the only one who is really getting sick of green repaints of every single construction vehicle alt mode that Hasbro makes? What color is that, "Electric mucus"?? (props to anyone who gets that reference) Honestly, I have never in my life seen construction equipment that color in my life. Let's get past G1 colors and move on to something more tasteful and realistic for future incarnations..let them rust in peace PLEASE! All it's going to result in are more butt-ass ugly bots like this one.

Besides, green and purple are Barney the Dinosaur's colors! Do we really want to be tied to that?

And before anyone calls me a G1 hater, I have two complete Constructicon sets and grew up with the originals. I'm just sick of green repaints.

I'm a big G1 fan but I'm also a fan of the other generations of Transformers, including the live action films. I think the RotF Constructicons look great, colour scheme and all. I don't mind the G1 repaint of Mixmaster but like I said earlier, the colours are flat and makes it look like a Tonka-ish toy.

The one sin of any movie line toy in my eyes is to use flat colours or have a lack of colours because the molds have great sculpting that is lost without depth and variation of colour to bring out the details.

I know it would cost money and a lot of the RotF line has shown cutting corners but I would have preferred the MM repaint use different shades of purple and green. The pastel appearance doesn't do justice to the mold, unfortunately. But I'll still probably pick it up since it's in the two pack with RotF Hoist, which aside from the flat pale grey plastic parts, is a pretty nifty figure.

Ol'Lefty... Haha, it's in reference to the episode where Mixmaster lost a testicle in a knife with Wheeljack.

I love the color scheme, this might be the only RoTF toy I buy, because in his G1 colors he looks alright.

If they redeco the whole team into the G1 livery, then I might get them.
