Custom Optimus/Jetfire combination
There was a thread a while back where some people posted pictures of their custom ways to transform ROTF Optimus and Jetfire together. But that thread was for discussing Jetfire and his combination in general.
This thread just for pictures of custom transformations of Optimus and Jetfire together.
I tried to go for getting as close to the concept art as I could without re-inventing the way they combine.

I turned Jetfire's arms around so they don't stick out half a mile. You can see Jetfire's hands, but I still like it better. I also mucked with a lot of Optimus's parts so it felt more like he was transforming and less like he was simply wearing a Jetfire suit...

I lifted Jetfire's arm a bit so you could see the folded-down silver shoulder-things. I also pulled Prime's arms out a bit at the spot where his shoulders go into his sides after you rotate them up. It makes his shoulders wider, and exposes those little piston-things leading to his shoulder.

I bent back Optimus's exhaust pipes. They just look cooler. And it's another thing that makes him different from when he's separate. And I moved up the panels that are supposed to hide Jetfire's head to be closer to the jets.

I moved the little gas tank looking things on Optmus's shoulders forward. It makes him look more substantial and frees up just a tad of arm movement.
I spread Optimus's legs apart just a bit, and bent the at the knees. Now that panel on Jetfire that is supposed to stick onto the bottom of Optimus CAN stick onto the bottom. I was also trying to go for that double-knee-joint look that the concept art had. I did what I could, but that's the best I could do. I rotated up the front wheels on Optimus to make another change and beef up his legs.

Closeup of the leg.

I broke up all those panels on his back that made him look like he had half a jet on his back. The head panels moved up toward the jets, the bottom panel folded toward him, and the side panels tilted back so that the jets can tilt back. Also Optimus's bigger oil tanks and big side-panels are tilted back, too.
