Is It True? Leader Class Grindor/Blackout in 2010?

I came across this.. can anyone confirm if this is true?

http://scorpio-thefuture.blogspot.com/2 ... indor.html

Leader Class Starscream and Grindor features revealed!
The special feature for the new Transformers revenge of The Fallen Leader Class Starscream may have been revealed by a Hasbro Q&A. They revealed the information about a Prototype:

"The prototype features lights, sounds, a moving jaw, a galting gun that can be attached to the arm and hidden missile launchers. It is also said to be the most detail-accurate figure out of the entire line"

They have also revealed the Leader class Grindor information:

"It revealed a completely new mold, which would be approximately 25 centimeters tall in robot mode, and many features including lights and sounds; it would have a "movie-accurate" blade-weapon, two removable shoulder cannons,a 1 inch gatling gun on his right arm, and a firing chest weapon similar to the one seen on Blackout in the first film. Currently there are no photos for the vehicle mode. Also unclear if a Scorponok figure is included"

they cited a Hasbro Q & A so I am wondering if anyone can confirm this.

I doubt this is true. But if it is, it looks like I'll be purchasing my first ROTF leader class figure.

There was never a Hasbro Q&A in August that clarified a Leader Blackout figure. All we are getting is Leader Starscream. I'm so sure of it that If a Leader Blackout actually comes out, I'll personally buy it for the thread starter.

I'd buy it if it does come out, but we haven't even seen anything for Leader Starscream yet. :-?

I hope I wish I will buy if only it were true. If Hasbro or Takara accomplished this and did so in an accurate way, both in robot mode and alternate, well, that would be one of the greatest TF's ever.

If this was true we'd have heard it here first from the Q&A stuff. We're already getting more leaders than before so I think it's not true.

Hope I'm wrong.

I'm calling bull too. While Starscream is accurate, Blackout was never meant to be a Leader Class, despite the fan demand (yeah right, as if they'd cater to us only now). The chances of him reappearing in such a class is next to nothing since he's been killed off in the 2007 movie.

I would love it but it wouldn't make sense to make a Leader class Blackout at this point.

And in the 2009 movie too (I doubt he won't be in the third movie, just to say "They killed Blackout again! Bastards!").

The voyager is a fine figure (and repainted numerously allready), but a leader Blackout I would buy anytime. The base attack from the first movie is the best scene from all the Bayverse.

That's Grindor, not Blackout. His robot mode looks the same, but the helicopter mode is a different model entirely (in the movie that is).

I agree the base attack from the 2007 Movie is one of the best scenes where the the explosions wheren't too obselete. :P

Very suspect-probably BS. If it's true, I'll eat a legends Wheelie.

prob too late now, but back during 2007 Movie toyline, I was actually surprised that they released a Leader Brawl. Blackout def had a larger role than Brawl did not to mention more screentime as well, yet Brawl gets a leader class fig and Blackout don't.

Brawl's deluxe toy was also one of the most out of scale, Optimus Prime could easily have run over him :P

So was Bonecrusher. Who should at the very least have gotten a Voyager mold for going head to head with Prime, if not even a leader instead of Brawl.

True, they're both out of scale. Bonecrusher should be a voyager with a removable head, but instead he's wide and short. :o)

IMO, Hasbro's manufacturing policy doesn't take screen accuracy much into account. Instead, they apply their own presumptions on which characters the kids (we collectors aren't their target market, remember? :-( ) might want enough to get their parent to pay Leader-class prices for.

Bonecrusher as a deluxe, I can understand, since his screentime is miniscule at best.

Honestly, Brawl's Leader-class existence is a mystery to me. He doesn't strike me as the more popular Decepticon in the movie. I, too, figured Hasbro might release a leader Blackout since he's appeared the most in the movie (and personally, also the coolest Decepticon in the movie). Besides, he's supposed to be the largest and tallest Decepticon, looming over even Megatron himself.

Manufacturing difficulties, maybe?

And Blackout had the largest robot and alt modes of the movie. Hell Grindor was even bigger given the super stallion is bigger than the pavelow. If they gave us an electronic movie accurate blackout/Grindor of leader or supreme size I would pay $50+ for it easy 100 for the supreme. Just give us one!!!
