I just picked up Jetfire today and theres 2 things that might be wrong with him and didnt know if anyone had these issues with him.

First, his head is very loose or wobbly and second when you press the sound button his eyes dont light up, only the very top part of his head or conopy. Is all Jetfires like this? or did i get bad one? All feedback is welcomed. thanks

Sounds perfectly normal to me. I have two and my friend has one all heads move freely and the eyes are painted. Sounds like yours is the just fine.

The eyes aren't painted on mine, but the leds are on top of its head instead of in his eyes.

Same here. The LED is bright enough to illuminate the eyes, though. I like the way that the canopy gets bright red.

On a slightly related note, I wonder why Hasbro chose to make Leader OP's LED for the eyes green instead of blue. Oh well, the red and green LEDs he has makes him festive. Instead of "Merry Christmas", I'll just tell people that I'm Optimus Prime.

lol  I'm still wondering why there's only 1 LED in the chest of Jetfire as opposed to 2 as shown on the back box art. :-?

Cost. An english business tycoon reasoned that his company received enough paperclips from the correspondence of other companies that his company didn't need to buy them. He was right and his company saved thousands of pounds just by stopping buying paperclips.

According to tfwiki.net, the right led was taken out to create space for the hidden sound effects button in alt mode. You know, the one hidden in the back that makes the jet-engine noises?

The pic in the back of the box is just the usual pre-release design, before the figure underwent its usual last-minute modifications.

I guess that's an explanation for it, but I still think it's partly to cut production costs.

It's because Jetfire's an old bot. He just doesn't have it in him to power all the LEDs. Old fart.

Indeed :P Back on topic, was Jetfire's voice taken directly from the movie? bc it doesn't sound like his movie voice. :???:

You're correct: the toy Jetfire has a Scottish accent, instead of the English one from the movie

Yeah, that's an odd thing about the figure. I wonder why Mark Ryan didn't supply the voice recording.

I see. When I first got the figure, I was pressing down the tab a few times and it just sounded different.

I think Megatron is from the movie, though it's pretty altred / deep to hear otherwise.

Beings who can serve their own transportation are the worst drunk drivers.

Come to think of it, there was this G1 episode where the Decepticons got piss-drunk on energon while celebrating a victory or something. Cybertronian booze as sustenance? No wonder both Autobots and Decepticons are fighting a war over it

That was such a great episode. I loved when the Decepticons finally made it to White Castle and ate 20 burgers a piece.
