About ROTF Scout-class

I just bought my first Scout-class, Knock Out. I'm a big fan of his robot mold, and I'm currently looking for Reverb. I had been putting off getting any Scout-class figures, because I like my TFs nice and big. What are some other Scout-class figures you would recommend, and what do you like about them?

Pretty much ANY RotF Scout Class, EXCEPT Scalpel, but especially Ejector. Toaster alt mode aside (which is hilarious), his robot mode looks like the Devil. Horns? Check. Digitigrade legs with what looks like cloven hooves? Check. Fangs? Check. Evil looking eyes? Check. Tail? Check. And he has two sets of forearms, too!

Ransack is a must-have, if only because there's no other biplane in the history of Transformers - and it'd be fun to take six or more of them and repaint all the Seekers as their Hearts of Steel versions.

The two motorcycles are basically male versions of Arcee, so they're decent, though not awesome.

Rollbar is wonderful if only for his repaint potential - UPS, Fed Ex, Snap-On Tools, whatever. :D

The cars are okay, but they "feel" more like Speed Planet designs from Galaxy Force / Cybertron than movie figures.

I recommend both Ejector and Dune Runner, simply bc those are pretty sturdy TFs w/o much problems.

Dune Runner's my favorite, with his olive drab paintjob and all-round military look; gotta love those shoulder-mounted Gatling guns. Too bad I can't find him anywhere.

Ejector is awesome for reasons mentioned above.
Ransack is incredibly unique, and I want every one sold so Hasbro comes out more unique alt modes.
Dune Runner is nice, but mine doesn't clip together very well in alt.
Scalpel is pretty creepy and intriguing; just take care with his legs.
The cars are "meh".
Dirt Boss had alot of potential, but he's so floppy he can't stand up.
Depth Charge would have been fantastic, but his hips can't support his weight. The shoulder missile pods are made of win.
Rollbar feels like he's a FAB.

I believe he's currently on HTS.

Pardon my ignorance, but what's HTS?

Let me know if you want a ROTF Scout Depthcharge. I picked one up, thinking it might be rare & one of y'all might want it but can't find it. See? I love my TF buddies & want them to be happy!

So let me know if you need him for your collection.

The one currently available Scout I recommend over all others is Ransack. The details, the unique choice of alt mode, and the interesting design of the robot mode make for a fun little figure.

For the upcoming Scouts in the next wave(s), Scattorshot and Skystalker look very cool.

I didn't mention Ransack because I heard he's a flimsy figure with easily breakable parts like Scalpel?

That's news to me. His components seem fairly durable as my Ransack was extremely stiff jointed out of the package so I had to manhandle him for a while to get him to fold like I needed him to.

That's right, I said durable.

Hmmm, don't know, that's what I got from some reviews of this guy. Maybe I'll consider getting him to see for myself. This guy is kinda like a pegwarmer in my area.

Pick him up anyway. Leave him in the package & maybe he'll be worth something someday. Or you might open him up and he'll end up your favorite.

Ransack is a pegwarmer in my area too but the first shipments of the figure were snatched up like hotcakes. I guess Hasbro decided to ship more to keep up with demand...not knowing the demand has already been fulfilled, hehe.

Definitely not flimsy. He "looks" flimsy, but he's pretty solid. Are you sure those reviews weren't done with "production samples" or the like to explain their fragility? Also, my Scalpel has no problems.

Guess I'll be picking up Ransack next time to the stores. The Scalpel's legs are prone to cracking around the ball joins that allows movements to the legs. Mine came with 3 cracked legs already.

That sounds like a shite batch of plastic to me. They may not all be like that.

Pick up seven - one to leave as is, and six to repaint as Hearts of Steel Starscream, Thundercracker, Skywarp, Dirge, Ramjet, and Thrust. :P

Ransack hasn't sold well in my part of the woods, either.

IMO, he's something of an acquired taste, in that he slowly grows on you as time passes. He's one of the last ROTF figs I plan to get, and I'm buying him only because he's the only TF that transforms into an old-style vehicle.
