That's way too expensive. It should be $20-$22. But, I love the clean blue and silver look of Blowpipe. I'm sure I'll pick one up, I just hope for cheaper.

Blowpipe...LOL !!!

You can tell whoever named this guy doesnt listen to hip-hop !!!

Anyways, I bought Dropkick and Salvage so I think ill pass this one up. I really wish they would stop issuing repaints combined with figures that most people already bought. And can someone please tell me what they mean by "Super Tuner" ???

PASS!!!!!! I don't even see any battle damage on Sideways. Hell, the "normal" version I bought looks like it's been through more. =;

It refers to "tuned-up" or "tricked-out" cars/trucks.

I think I'll pass on this one. But, I may change my mind when it's in my hands, though!

Oh yeah, one more thing; what a terrible name for Blowpipe! They couldn't come up with anything better??

Using Blowpipe is likely an attempt to reclaim the name (they MEAN as in a blowpipe gun, but modern culture.....), it was used for a Targetmaster at one point. It... doesn't really fit any though.

They did NOTHING to change Sideways, which is pointless because a lot of us already bought the single version, or Dead End (or both), so there's no reason there. They could of done another repaint/rename if nothing else. Or even just a repaint and play it up as being rebuilt from being sliced in half. They did it for Jazz toywise!
Name aside, Blowpipe looks good, and at least it's a good mold (other than the stupid weapon, thankfully he's got other guns). But it costs too much to get for just him, and I have Dropkick.

Fails in comparison to the Hoist vs Mixmaster set, which at least gives us a new character (in a redeco we long expected for the mold) and a new homage repaint on a VOYAGER figure. Pass.

The Blowpipe figure, being a redeco of 07 Dropkick, alone makes this set tempting but unless one wants to get Sideways as well, I'd say look for an 07 Dropkick or Salvage. Blowpipe's colour scheme is nice, though I'd like to see it in person to make final judgment.

Blowpipe looks a lot better than the first pictures we saw of him.

But $27! 8-} I don't like his deco that much.

Just to note, this is the normal version of Sideways, same as the stand-alone edition. There is a battle-damaged version out there, but that's exclusive to the 'Autobot Strike Mission' set which also includes a battle-damaged Longarm, plus an unchanged Rampage and Breakaway.

And which variant comes with Blowpipe? Silver or dark silver?

Looks like the dark version. Autobot Strike Mission is also the dark version, with battle damage.

Blowpipe looks good and i like the repaint of it, but cannot justify buying that mold nor paying that price for those two again! Hasbro should had some sort of battle damage on both figures or added in Dead End repaint with something extra. I know hasbro can be more creative that this...

The dark version's also in the Wheelie/Sideways double pack here in the UK.

Certainly looks like the dark one is now the de facto 'proper' edition, and the lighter one is the 'variant'. I remember when the first wave came out, the darker one was a lot harder to find, now the light ones are being outnumbered.

I'm assuming the change was made to help avoid confusion with the similarly-coloured (and similarly-named) Sideswipe toy.

Good thing I'm skipping him in favor of Dead End then :) Would be interesting to hunt down the silver variant though...

Poor Windbreaker - he certainly gets a rough time of it. Personally, I also think the people who came up with the toy names 'Erector', 'Lube', 'Gas Skunk' and 'K-9' also need to be bounced quite vigorously.

And I know that 'Spinister' is a play on 'spin' and 'sinister', but it also sounds dangerously close to the rather-less-than-macho 'spinster'!

Also of course, 'Slag' is a slang term for a harlot in the UK, and also over here 'Headmaster' is what we Brits call a school principal. So every time I hear mention of a headmaster, it conjures up terrble memories of Mr. Ward, the bane of my schooldays. Yikes!
