... you wanted to have two of the same TF toy (one for robot, one for alt-mode)? I know I did when I got TFA Prowl. Deluxe. The instructions confused me, but I figured it out. I also felt this way when I got TF Movie 1 Optimus. Leader. I could not transform it, until about three months ago. I didn't have instructions or a box to base the semi mode on. I thought that I had LOST MY MIND! Not trolling, just wondering if anyone has had the same problem/thought.

I've had this feeling of wanting two of the same mold for the reason that I really love a mold.

I did when I was buying Alternators a few years ago.

Really wish I bought 2 or 3 of each back then...

I'm quite happy having one of each and alternating which mode they are displayed in. If I had more money maybe I'd buy multiples of combiners, I don't know. I've just never been interested in Duplicate molds, except for the purpose of displaying City Commander.

No!! Well caused I have this policy of not buying repaints(unless its super nice or has an interesting new gadget or add-on) let alone the same toy. I usually just display my TFs in bot mode.

The question is, did I ever NOT feel like owning two of the same figure?

Still, I could never bring myself to buy 2 of the same fig, since there are so many other ones out there for me to splurge my money on

The urge gets worse for my other collection craze, Macross figs, since they're inherently ALL triple-changers, going from fighter to GERWALK to battroid mode.

It started with RID, when I purchased two Primes and Two Magni so I could display them as Omega Prime as well as individuals. Later I came across yet a third Prime, which I display in his smaller robot mode.

I bought three Primes for the Armada line (one being the darker colored powerlinx version) so that I could display him as Super, Jet Convoy, and normal.

For Energon, I once again bought two Primes; one for Super mode, and one for normal mode. I also bought two sets of each combiner group so that I could display them individually as well as merged.

For Cybertron, I bought both versions of Prime so that I could display him in normal and Super modes.

I already have ROTF Prime and I intend to combine him with Jetfire and then paint them both to look better combined. Then I am going to buy Buster Prime to be my lone prime. So I may end up with Two Primes and two Jetfires

Absolutely, especially when I want to do some customizing or what to keep on in package and display one. Examples: I bought I bunch of TFC 2.0 Starscreams for customizing. I have Hasbro commemoratives of Optimus Prime and Soundwave in and out of the box but TFC 2.0 was the only figure I just wanted two of just for the hell of it.

When they reported how many robots there would be in ROTF I started saving up cash to buy them all. Now, after being rather disappointed by most of the releases I still have a wad of cash to spend on TFs and I still don't feel like buying repeats of molds.

Does buying every mold of Silverbolt and Onslaught count? Like (Universe Silverbolt, Takara Universe Silverbolt, Universe Darkwind, Universe Skyfall); (Universe Onslaught, Takara Universe Onslaught, Universe Hardhead)

with the alts yes, I bought two complete sets of them. Too much work was put into the alt modes to never show them off.

I also buy doubles if I think the figure will be hard to find again, like Superlink Wheeljack.

Yea, I have doubles of many figs, but usually to use extras customizing.

For display purposes I have doubles of the MP seekers. (except Thundercracker, just have not gotten his double yet)

This is entirely for display. I have one set in bot mode, including the "generic" seeker Greenscream. and another set for plane mode. This is due in large part to the Takara versions looking badass without the stickers, with just the jet markings.

As far as buying more than one of the identical figure, I've only done that with Movie Landmine, the military dune-buggy vehicle, because there were at least two in a few scenes. Also bought two of the Scout version, Hardtop, and the ROTF Dune Runner Scout- all are in the same vein. I'll buy two of the upcoming Brawn Deluxe for the same reason.

I've always wanted to buy about 4 (or however many it would actually take) to start from Alt all the way back to Robot mode, making a montage scene of sorts.

i plan to get buster prime , and both megatron colors(shadow commander NEEDS to be puchesed ), but i really dont think repaints count as the same toy. strike mission sideswipe may change my mind though.....

I have thought about it, but getting 2 of everything wouldn't look to well at the end of the month. Most of my figures are in alt mode anyways, I love cars and planes.
