I thought NEST Bumblebee was supposed to be the connon BB with a face mask?

I believe the mouth looks a bit more defined- this could just be the lighting though

Bludgeon and Dirge look amazing.
Am I the only one seeing BB with a big Anime eye Astro Boy look going on there? Its a little scary.

I've noticed that too. It's BB with puppy dog eyes. Don't think the Decepticons will be intimidated by him.

If the release date is Jan 23rd 2010, then why are they been sighted and bought in US already? unless there are some straglers got out before the release date. But i see these on shelves right before X-mas...

And what the hell is wrong with BB's face/eyes? BB is suppose to be a warrior for the autobots, and not to look like puss n boots from Shrek 2!!!

I plan on buying all of them, except for that failure of a BB repaint.

It looks like the normally stark white face has been lighted differently for the promo photo or that someone has gone in with a fine tip marker and highlighted some details.

That's Hasbro's Bumblebee that comes with the two-pack of N.E.S.T. Soundwave.

Dirge has a very interesting looking transformation.
I want him and Bludgeon a fair bit.

We all know Bumblebee is capable of bursting into tears if Sam leaves him. This head sculpt shows his emotional side. And this new Nest Bumblebee plus the one with the cannons will help furfill their 20 repaint quota on this mold. The Japanese versions of the toys all look great but for the prices being sold, Takara gets the DX Chop from me...

And Dirge is still unforgivably ugly.

No thank you.

Is it just me, or do these images look exactly like the Hasbro ones, photoshopping aside? Same pose and everything on the packaging. And it's Japan we're talking about here, who just use Hasbro packaging for the movie lines.

Yep. I downloaded this Bludgeon shot and the Hasbro box art and they are the same pict, highlights and all. I hope the final release has the usual excellent Takara paint apps.

Almost all of the Japanese ROTF Line has been US ROTF figs with a sticker on the box. Why start changing now?

I guess since I've never paid any attention to the Takara movie line, I never put two and two together there. Guess you learn something new every day. I won't be holding my breath for a "Henkei-style" Bludgeon.

The first movie line did have a couple Japanese variants:

- MA-03 Bumblebee has the intended translucent plastic, while Hasbro's Classic Camaro Bumblebee used solid colors.
- MA-18 Nightwatch Optimus Prime (and the Argos UK version) does not have the Allspark blue of the US version.
- MA-19 Landmine has a different shade of plastic.
- MD-22 Incinerator was mostly black instead of grey.

Also, Landmine, Incinerator, Stockade, and Black Arcee came with miniature AllSpark cubes.
