Is it me, or did they really removed alot of the silver-chrome painjobs? Now it looks just slightly better than the original. Wasn't the gun supposed to be chromed as well?

I only remember the chrome that's on there. There's still a lot of silver paint, a lot more than the original.

What we really need when this comes out is a kit or something for the old Leader-class Prime that replaces the old side panels/fuel tanks with the new gun ones from this one, so that we don't have to get a second one just to have the guns.

The only chrome apps I recall seeing on Buster OP are on the sun visor parts and the grill. The majority of the "bare" metal parts on Buster OP should be in a silver paint. The virtual view images use a white background so the silver paint looks duller than it did in these earlier photos, which use a black background:

Did we ever figure out if Hasbro was going to release this version...maybe as part of the N.E.S.T. team line of figs or as a Premium or store exclusive? I want it, but I'm not sure if I want it for $90...

This is the first time seeing this figure. I think he looks great. Is he a repaint of the Leader Class ROTF Prime with a gun instead of swords or a brand new toy with more detail ??? Is he the same size or larger than leader class ???

And just for the heck of it Im gonna ask...why is he a "Buster" ??? Not sure what they meant when they named it, but in hip hop slang a "buster" or "busta" is put down for someone you dont think is cool. Maybe the same guy that came up with the name "Blowpipe" had something to do with this one... :-? :-? :-? :-?

Rated X, Buster Prime is a zazzy repaint of the ROTF leader Prime mold swords and all. The main difference is the 2 fuel tanks combine into his gun instead of hanging out on his backpack. Also he has a new head.

And things with "Buster" in their name are cool! Havn't you ever heard of Gunbuster! :P

They usually are. :) Seriously though, in Japan a "Buster" is always a type of heavy duty gun or similar firearm.

I gotcha Firebird :D Out here in Miami, the lingo is a little different cause we have a large urban community that follows the hip hop lifestyle. But I must say, This version of Optimus is beautiful and I really hope it gets released here as a "Premium" version. I held back on the regular version because I had both the 1st movie and nightwatch versions, but now Im not sure if I should hold out get this bad boy !!!
