Let´s talk Transformers Encore

So we have Megs, OP, Soundwave and Screamer coming up. What do you folks think - will that be a one-off or the start to reviving the Takara re-issues.If so, will we see stuff we´ve had with the TFC line or will we get more exotic things like Japanese Headmasters, Godmasters, Cassettes? Opinions?

My feeling is that Takara is going to do any reissues that sell. So I think any popular TFC are fair game.
Personally, I would like them to reissue characters they haven't done yet. So bring back the Dinobots for Christ sakes.

I'm looking forward to the Encore line. Sure I have all four figures already - but I'd like to see what happens next. They could possibly re-release Sixshot, Predaking, Hotroad and Ultra Magnus as they did back in 2000/2001.
Does anyone know what the box art looks like?

I hope they continue with encore after all this movie business is behind us. Maybe then we'll see what Takara and their reissues are really made of

well, for western release, Megatron will have the plugged barrel and soundwave will be single chested rather than soundblaster repaint

Ooh, Soundwave sounds great with the single tape deck. But surely the Encore edition will be the same as TFC-10?

Yup - they used the original Soundblaster mold and engineered it to take a single cassette.
I do hope that they continue with the Encore line as I miss the Gen 1 re-issues now that I sold them all!

I'd love to see some of the Japanese figures that didn't make it out of Japan in the Encore line. Such as Liokaiser, Road Caesar, Dinoking, God Neptune and Deathsaurus

what do i want to see? Shockwave, dinobots, constructicons, cassettes, ultra magnus...etc and in that order.
What do i think we will see? Insecticons, minibots, wheelie, perceptor, blaster, tracks, u see where i'm going with this i'm sure.

I would like reissues that haven't been reissued yet or too many times. And Japanese figures that never made it over here. And most certainly the Dinobots.

Since it´s a Takara thing, I don´t think it will be capped. Remember, they´re not officially meant for export

Let's say for the sake of argument that Takara/Tomy are going to be business savvy about this line. That being said, we can be certain that they'll play it safe and stick to popular charcters that they have the molds to. We can probably expect Magnus & Hot Rod to come out eventually. I have noticed that everyone (myself included) would kill to get the Dinobots & Constructicons. But let's ask ourselves the real question here.
What characters are popular, that they have the molds to that would be sure sellers for them? Whatever the answer is will be what we'll most likely see.

I actually believe TakTom is doing a supply of them themselves for western markets
