Target Clearence Sale

For those of you that didn't pick up either Superion or Bruticus, all of the Targets around where I live (WI) have started to mark them down to $20.98. I'm not sure if this is happening nation wide so you might want to call your local stores ahead of time.

Target clearances are almost always nationwide, so chances are this is happening everywhere.

I saw Bruticus at this price in Itasca, IL, west of Chicago.

It's nice that they have this sale, but they should probably get some Voyager figures in stock!! I went to Target today and they had 2 Ironhides and 2 Ratchets...the most figures there in a month or two. What's a sale when you have no product to put on sale? :P

Sounds like a good chance for me to cave on Demolishor. Kinda considering the Megatron powerbot, but it depends if it looks really goofy.

I went to two Targets this weekend and both had them clearanced, and I heard another report of a different Target in the area also having the same clearance. They were in the clearance aisle, though, not with the regular TF stock...so I had to seek them out.

The question now is how low will they go? I picked one up, but I'm hanging onto my receipt incase/for when they drop to 50% off.

Merging two threads together since it seems like the same event.

The Target near my house had Bruticus for $30, but since I had wife in tow, I skipped it.

Turned out to be a good thing.

I stopped by the target on my way to work and found the $20 price tag, so I ended up buying 2 :-)

I bought a Bruticus today for the 20.98 price. Figured I'd wait to see if/when FP comes out with some appendages and what they look like.

Was going to get a Superion too but guess word got out too quicly for me (saw it Friday for 20 but decided to gamble and see if it would go lower). May try to hunt one down. Worst case, I'll sell it later on for what I paid for it and call it a day.

Okay, so I caved in and took advantage of the voyager sale (or did the sale take advantage of me?) and bought Megs, The Fallen, Long Haul, and Mixmaster. My question is do I keep them all?

Megs - I was kind of interested in the voyager at one point, but I have the leader class version (which I can't legitimately take back at this point) and there's always a chance the voyager will be repainted with more movie accurate colors.

The Fallen - His "alt mode" blows and his transformation doesn't look all that exciting in reviews, but the damn movie is named after him...

Long Haul - Looks pretty good in both modes and see him getting a lot of love. I assume this one's a keeper.

Mixmaster - Robot mode looks kinda lame and I said way back when I'd only consider him on clearance, but the alt mode is great (despite being too small) and the transformation looks pretty satisfying...and $15 pretty much constitutes a clearance.

Thoughts?

I personally love all four, so I say keep em. Megs color I always attributed to that rising from the water shot in the movie, but thats just me.

Thanks for the input...

That's the problem with tacking on at the end of a topic like this, it's already run its course so it's not going to get many more views, so that probably about all the feedback I'll get.

Long Haul and Mixmaster are the best of the four. The Fallen was disappointing. I like Voyager Megs, but the color scheme is odd.

Mixmaster would be fantastic if there was no tan.

Thanks. At $15 do you keep a disappointing Fallen fig, or is it THAT bad?

I liked the robot mode, and he looks good on display, but Leader Megs towers over him.

It's only as disappointing as you make it. Yes, the alt mode sucks beyond belief, but there is so much you can do with his bot mode.

I know that there were a lot more in this set, but these seem to be the only ones I saved.

I would say keep him.
