A while back, I bought a figure for 40 dollars US from BBTS, I don't remember the figure, but it was older, one I wanted, loose, complete, in good condition and I figured it was a good price. So I bought it and shipped it a couple weeks later. While the order was in transit I saw the same fig for sale in my local comic book store for only 30, CDN, it was too late to change my decision.

FML.

::nods::

That's understandable.

I mean, I have problems in life as well at times. I address those problems by either yelling at them or hitting them until they are less problematic.

I whistle when I hit things to make the time pass by more pleasantly.

You're stupid. Sorry, but you asked for it! I didn't know what FML meant either. You're new here, so WELCOME! Hope you enjoy your visit!

As for buying something and then it becoming cheaper later - yeah it happens a lot. I got HABB as soon as he appeared and could have got him much cheaper if I'd waited but I don't mind cos I was going nuts waiting for that figure so there was no way I could have waited, seeing him in shops all the time! On the other hand I bought Jetfire as soon as it appeared over here. I haven't opened him yet and planned to open it at the start of November (it's nice to have something to look forward to) and now it's 25% off at Argos. Seeing as I haven't opened him I should have waited... But how was I to know.

That would explain why the last day of Botcon 2008 was a bit of a musical blurr.

I have them pretty often, I buy classics Ultra Magnus of ebay and it turns out **** and my friend who's ebay account I used did something wrong so that I can't get my money back.
Mattycollector doesn't accept paypal only credit cards so I can forget my Ray or buy it for double the price of what it would cost on matty including shipping from bbts.
I finally have the money to buy the Predalien at my local comic store just to find out that they're sold out and the item was taken out of their supplier's catalogue.
I find THS G1 Prime on the web for 20 pounds shipped who gets to buy it?, my brother.
I state I want to collect all Classics Voyager Optimus Prime repaints and Takara goes and produces a f**king Luckydraw with it, ....
I could go on for hours.

A while back BBTS had City Commander sets back in stock. There were only three. I bought one and basically paid close to $140 including shipping because I thought they weren't going to re-release the set. Now it's back out at $88 and I'm paying $12 more for missiles. Oh well you live and you learn.

Christmas 2007 convinced that it would never be re-released I purchased a MP-2 Ultra Magnus and paid $200. So what came out within the last year. U guessed it.

I sense another such episode with TRU Insecticons. I may have to buy them from BBTS and as soon as they process my order I'll finally see em at TRU.

I never say FMl about anything, much less Transformers. Any day I'm breathing is a good day.

Of course losing an entire box of Botcon 07 goodies in the mail (Alpha Trion among others) didn't make me feel really sunshiney that week.

If a "FML" moment no. But if u meant when I bought something much more expensive then what the store is currently offering at then yes. Like Disney Label Mickey, HA Bumblebee and Aternity Megatron to name a few..

never FML, but there's been a few rage mode moments. For example, I picked up a complete G1 Frenzy/Rumble (the red one, Frenzy in my books) for $30, decent condition, but neither of the weapons fit, you can tell they're variants from other figures, like Prime's bloated and regular guns, that kinda thing... still cool, though, I never owned one before. Two weeks later they announced the encore cassette big mission 3 set... rage mode.

Watched the trailer for ROTF a week or two before the film came out and it looked amazing. Between that and how great the first one was, I went to see it with high hopes.

Ready to leave after 30 minutes. My friends couldn't believe how ticked I was afterwards. Bloody flatmate based on Armada Carlos, annoying twins and unicycle bot.

Swore off TF's for over a week i was so disgusted. However the IDW tie in books were so enjoyable, I gave it another chance. The fact I was prepared for the annoying bits took the sting out of it and ended up seeing it 4 times. The last with a beautiful Polish girl, the film was her choice.

When I was 13, went on hols to the west of Ireland. Had 30 quid spending money, a nice bit for a kid in the 80's. No TF's in the town I was stayin' in so spent it on comics and stuff.

On 4 hour drive home we stopped for food in a town and had a look in the local toyshop. Saw the following:

Hound - £5

Prowl - £5

Twin Twist - £2.50

Topspin - £2.50

Quickswitch - £15.00

Total - £30.00

Just realised as I was typing that was 20 years ago this month.

Got them all in the last 7 years since I started collecting:

Hound - 72 euros

Prowl - 72 euros (got me back into collecting)

Twin Twist - 12 euros

Top Spin - 12 euros

Quickswitch - 30 euros

Total - 208 euros

Hows that for a FML story?

Could well aford them but still look at the prices!

If I remember correctly 1 Irish £ = 1.54 euros. Feel free to coreect me if that's wrong.
