This is pretty simple, what is the first Transformer(s) that you purchased as an adult?

For me, it would be a few Beast Wars figures in I believe early '99. I picked up TM2 Dinobot, Ramulus, Scarem and Optimus Minor. I had only seen an episode or 2 of Beast Wars but was litreally salivating at the idea of new Transformers on the toy shelves.

I didn't buy many new TF's for a while after that mainly because I hated Beast Machines.

Ebay and later the TRU resisues and Classics/Universe eventually got me buying Tf's regulalry again.

Lol. I think the next ones I got were some armada SCFs and SCF Thundercracker. Then I got HOC Skywarp from eBay, hated the stupid light piping in the head, and swapped his head with SCF Thundercracker.

R.I.D Prime and Magnus. I think I was 22 when I got them, I was talked into it by a friend of mine.

20th Anni OP and Alt Silverstreak, on the same day ('Streak at TRU, and Prime at Wal-Mart), a week or so after Christmas that year. Both on discount, OP dramatically so (his box was nearly shredded, and the manager agreed to take off a decent bit for that).

Classics Mirage and Cliffjumper.

Optimal Optimus I think.

Well my first purchase was during the summer after seeing ROFT. I bought ROFT Rampage. First purchase that sparked my collecting addiction.

Either RID Prowl or RID Scourge for me.

R.I.D JRX/Railracer.

As an adult? That would be when I got back into TF's when I discovered the TF section on E-Bay.

My first two purchases (can't remember which came first) were G1 Grimlock and G1 Rodimus Prime (both incomplete)

BW Rampage, Scarem, and Scavenger, in that order. Not long after, I found Armada Starscream, and he kicked off the Unicron Trilogy for me.

G1 Optimus Prime right after I got out of college about 8 years ago.

For me, probably Alt Smokescreen, followed closely by TRU Reissue Hot Rod, and 20th Anniversary Optimus Prime. I would have been 20 or 21 at the time.

20th Prime from Amazon.com about a month before movie1 hits the screens.

Alternators Smokescreen... followed by a pile of TRU reissues and other Alternators. My girlfriend at the time was encouraging me, so maybe it's all her fault!

I got back into collecting when I was 18, and the first tfs I collected were either the Energon Aerialbots or G1 Snaptrap and G1 Rampage, I don't know exactly which was first, probably ordered the G1s first, and while they were on route I bought the aerialbots in the stores...

Really? Judging by the size of your collection (and number of WSTs especially ), I would've thought you've been collecting for years!

I was originally out looking for Armada toys for my lad (Half-Pint!) who was 5/6 at the time.

I had seen the cartoon show with him and was familiar with the brand.

I was in TRU and saw the re-issues, that led me to start researching to see what others there were and why some Armada toys hadn't hit the UK, or if they were available via Ebay etc.

Then I found this site.

Then I found the Takara TFC.

Then I found that things like Auto Assembly happened.

Now my wife hates you all

I only turned 18 last month and I can't believe I haven't bought anything transformery since!

Classics Ramjet. I think I was 27 at the time. That was was the first TF I bought since I was 8 years old. 3 years and 160 TFs later and still buying toys.

Alternators Sideswipe. Devon K-Mart on sale for $15.99. Still have it!

Hey, you've got three years over me...

How old would an adult be? I never quit buying toys, so my first would have been something I got for a birthday a few years back, if, you can call me an adult.

In my case, a forgettable experience regardless.
