Is this a new variant for the MISB and variant collectors to have to track down?

If this becomes a more common sighting, we'll be sure to share with you. For now it seems to be an isolated incident, but was mentioned to be on the shelf with deluxe Waves 3 and 4.

Just for curiousity's sake, has anyone else painted the molded-on "rust" spots on these guys, or is this one of those situations where people will facepalm and say: "Why the %&#@ did he take them out of the box???"

It would be cooler if they made a version with both figures actually being deluxe size combining into a voyager size vehicle.

Yuck. When I see the current version (split truck mode) on shelves, I'm tempted to buy it because the ice cream truck is appealing. But the robot forms look like crap packaged like that. That's a bad marketing decision, IMO.
