Ryan has given us another set of galleries of an obscure and somewhat rare group of Transformers from the Universe subline. This time he's treated us to photos of the Superion micromaster set! Check out the galleries by clicking the links below:

Ro-Tor
Storm Jet
Fireflight
Skydive
Air Raid
Silverbolt
and their combine form: Superion

And don't forget to check out all of Ryan's other galleries here

Too bad they were never released in Canada, alot of the micromaster sets are pretty cool. Love the colours on this set, they mesh together very well in their combined mode.

GREAT Gallery. This is my favorite Universe Micromaster set.

Anyone else think that this little red Ro-Tor guy is sorta like the protectabot Blades? They didn't have Blades in the Defensor set, so they have him here. Too bad they used a Decepticon RiD Name for him.

i'm surprised they didn't use the original 5 aerialbot names and either jetfire or powerglide

That's what trademarks can do... "Slingshot", "Powerglide" (see Classics Fireflight) and apparently "Blades" are out of Hasbro's reach, so yeah.

that sucks, but it doesn't stop fans renaming them as such

I like to think of them as the Japanese Six-Wing brought into the Universe world, and taking American names - not the original G1 Aerialbots.

If anyone cares about their Japanese bios, back in their G1 incarnation, these are the bios translated by Soundwave;s Oblivion:

Micromaster Warrior Chaingun (Ro-Tor)
Combat helicopter
The wing team leader. His high-performance hovering ability lets him Transform freely in flight. His preferred tactic is to circle silently around behind his foe and then attack. "The surest way to defeat an enemy is from behind," is his motto. Won the position of leadership by his strength.

Micromaster Warrior Missile Run (Air Raid)
Sonic-speed bomber
A schemer, he is the team's tactical officer. Has high-performance stealth abilities. With his strategically instructions to his team-mates, he can provide more precise orders than Chaingun. Harbours a strong rivalry with Diego of the liner team.

Micromaster Warrior Raker (Storm Jet)
Space shuttle
Raker excels in outer space combat and can make atmospheric re-entry under his own power. He specializes in diving attacks from high altitudes. A real flirt, he has frequently fallen into crises through his relations with femmes.

Micromaster Warrior Supersonic (Skydive)
Supersonic Passenger Jet
Loves beautiful objects, hates taking part in operations that get his frame dirty. Since he is always seeking beauty, even in attacks and destruction, he frequently conflicts with Chaingun over strategies. Prefers flying at high altitudes above the clouds so rain won't get him wet.

Micromaster Warrior Flanker (Fireflight)
Jet Fighter
The kind who's out to please everyone, flanker specializes overall in attacking the weak from behind the protection of the strong. Always alternating in siding with either Chaingun or supersonic, he actually views them both as beneath him. Secretly aiming to take the leader's position for himself.

Micromaster Warrior Falcon (Silverbolt)
Jet Fighter
The hardest worker on the wing team. Terse of speech, this soldier follows orders faithfully. However, he is also the only soldier among the Destrons to wonder why he evolved into a Destron and not a Cybertron, even as he continues fighting.

Thanks Ryan.

Like I said with the last MicroMaster set, I keep putting off getting these till I see a full set in one clip.

I hate missed chances, but you know, with so many bots out there, it makes it even worse because there's so many to keep in mind when browsing Ebay.
