Quick MP Megatron question

Sorry for posting a question that's been answered a thousand times before, but:
I managed to get my hands on a super cheap used MP Megatron but I know for a fact that the little plastic clip attached to one of the large black parts on the back of his legs is broken. I won't have a chance to get hands on with the figure for a while so can anyone tell me; how does this affect his transformation? Is in incapable of transforming now? Will he have a floppy gun mode?

It should still be okay - there are several clips to hold the gun handle together, plus the bits that connect the handle to the body.

Excellent, thanks. I got him for less than a voyager, so it seemed like a bargain even if I was just getting an over-sized Action Master :-3

My god, how did you reply that quick? You must have been lurking, laying in wait for someone to take your bait!
That certainly is a bargain, even if the handle didn't hold you'd still have the transformation and you could use those invisible, unbreakable elastic bands to hold it together.
I'll go and have a look him in a few minutes and see how many connectors there are.

A quick examination reveals there is a peg on the front of the handle as well as a hinged grey part and two black pegs on the back.
