First Look at Packaging of Animated Cybertron Mode Autobot Ratchet and Arcee *TRU Exclusive*

Excellent news for Transformers Animated Fans, as the The-Arker gives us boxed images of two figure we first saw at Botcon 2009. We're talking about an old bot, Ratchet, in his Cybertron Mode, and a female Autobot, Arcee. One thing that may be a surprise to all of us is that the figures are Toys "R" Us Exclusives! Check out the biography and packaging images below.
Deluxe Cybertron Mode Autobot Ratchet
Back when the war was at its worst, even the Autobots who weren't programmed to fight were called into battle. More than once, Autobot Ratchet was forced out onto the battlfield not just as a medic, but as a warrior. They're not memories he likes to recall, but he learned more than one lesson that has saved his life in the years sicne.
Deluxe Arcee
Arcee has dedicated her life to the power of information. As a teacher, she saw to it that young Autobots all learned the value of the facts, and how to tell truth from lies. During the war, she turned her dedication to the truth to carrying data for the Autobot High Command, often from deep behind enemy lines. She will fare any danger to defend what is right, no matter what the cost.

nice, but being exclusives makes finding these a whole lot harder.

EDIT: To clarify my ire, the nearest TRU to this backwater I live in is a FULL-DAY'S DRIVE AWAY. Looks like I'll be getting these online.

I know what you mean the TRU near me gets trucks tues and thursday so if i want a hard to find exclusive i try to go then when they open.

What the heck does this mean for the rest of the Animated revival line? Freaking brand new molds are exclusives? Holy moly.

TRU exclusives, ehh... I'm cool with that. Definitely getting Arcee, and probably Ratchet, but I hate that I already bought the first one, and this one looks better in bot mode at least.

Toys R Us tends to keep most exclusives in my area pretty well stocked. These things are going to be bountiful all over Florida.

Great! I would much rather have them as TRU exclusives than shoved into the possible Classics 3.0 line. Maybe this will leave room for consideration of a G1 Arcee in Classics/Universe.
I hope they have better distribution than the exclusive Perceptor and Insecticons. I had to order Perceptor online because my local stores had no clue about them.
Any idea of a release date?

Hasbro said Spring 2010. With The-Arker getting these pics late in November, I'd have to say that might be true.

Revival line? Hasbro said at Botcon the rest of the toys would be released as store exclusives and the like.
Again though, the thing I don't understand is that Target, TRU AND WalMart all still carry Animated toys, so I don't see why Hasbro can't just sell them the new ones... none of those retailers have shown interest in putting them on clearance either.
Anyways, Ratchet is bought, I like him. Arcee though, I still think looks like crap. It's her arms, they look poorly done. The joints look all funky.

This is completely unfair! Why does Hasbro decide to give new molds to one shop? What is the point of showing off these new toys at conventions when not everyone will be able to by them?

WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON?!?!?!?!?!?
I have a really bad feeling about this, Toys 'R Us exclusives? All the TRU's in The Netherlands are now ToysXL, so we won't get any period. Is this the future of transformers? If you want the new TF movie 3 decepticons you have to pay extra.
I don't like this, I really want that new Ratchet and especially Arcee, now I'm thrown at the mercy of Scalpers... again.

Arcee. I want her. Go fig that she is an exclusive and the nearest TRU from my house is 45 minutes one way, and I never get a chance to get down there. Ah well. I'll find a way to get her.

Dang !! animated arcee's is way cool ... it's too bad local toy store in Jakarta doesn't update their current stocks..we still way behind on the TFA toy line up... too many of those ROTF on display (not interested at all).
have to hit ebay again (sigh) ...

Being exclusive figures sucks but at least they're coming out! I just hope I can get them without too much difficulty.
I love the look of Cybertron Ratchet and Arcee's alt mode looks sweet. I can't wait to see what Ironhide's head sculpt looks like.

I'll be getting these for sure. I am surprised though, that if they're both TRU exclusives, they aren't a two pack, considering Ratchet and Arcee's shared history.
