Buster Prime on shelves now.

Buster Optimus Prime is now available on shelves in Tokyo stores, so those who preordered should be seeing it soon.

He looks pretty cool, though I thought his faceplate was supposed to be changable or something. I decided not to pick him up though. He's, like, 65 dollars.

Mine's been in my Pile of Loot at BBTS for a few days now, but I just had an order shipped. He's going to have to wait for a while before I ship him, maybe when Alternity BB and CJ, and Ghost Starscream show up.

I missed the first pre-order call due to indecision, and am now waiting for the restock/second batch to arrive.

Hope it won't take too long. From the promo photos, Buster OP looks awesome with superb detailing and has all the paint apps that the original one missed. I even noticed gunpowder burns on the muzzles of his twin rifles, although there's no guarantee that the final product would have this.

Anyone care to verify on the rifles?

Only one rifle (which looks terrible) and it does have the powder burn marking on it.

Any signs yet of Ghost Starscream? Rumor was that he was being released too, although I know he's an exclusive with the book versus a standard off-the-shelf figure.

Thanks for the heads up. Man, only one rifle?! I thought there'd be two!

In any case, the rifle looks okay to me, personally, if a little chunky. Then again, maybe I'm just easy to impress... :P

I made my own rifles. I took Voyager Prime's guns, chop shopped 'em, took pen tubs, and kitbashed 'em together. Slapped on a coat of paints, and called it done.

I do need to trim the barrels a bit though...I kinda went a bit large on 'em.

Wow, that's an awesome project. Unfortunately, I don't own a Voyager Prime, and knowing my own lack of kitbashing experience, there's no way in hell I can make my own rifles for Buster OP.

Still, I'm sure yours would look way cool!

I sure hope so, took me long enough to make 'em. I'd say I spent about 10-12 hours making them. A real pain in the neck, honestly. It worked out in the end though. Poor Voyager Prime...he was torn to shreds for that and other projects. I turned it into scrap, really, but it was worth it.

Still no word from Hasbro about this guy? I'd like to get him but not @ $80 to $90. That's a bit much for something I can get domestically for $35. You, know minus the gun, chromed bits and face of course.

Nothing from official sources. At best, if it ever hits here, it would be part of a Premium line, but last I checked, there's no Premium sub series intended for the line this time.

Basically what you see is what you get. That doesn't mean that some store exclusive is impossible.

Unlikely, but not impossible. I'm sure the fandom will hear an answer sooner or later.
