Currently Star Wars Celebration IV is taking place. There is some Transformers related news coming out of the event. New Transformers Attacktix figures based on G1 and the upcoming Transformers Movie were shown. Jedi Insider has posted images of the figures here.

I've got to admit, I like some of those Attacktix figures. Especially Laserbeak!

And I will be all over starscream like hot melt glue!!!

you can expect them to be blind packed.. hopefully they go back to 3 per box instead of 2 like they did with the last group............

Isn't there supposed to be an arcee figure for this series? I'm anxious to see if it's a G1 design.

They'd be great little collectables if they didn't have the ridiculously oversized weapons. Ironhide's the only decent one in that regard. Skywarp looks like he's riding a cannon Dr. Strangelove style, and Shockwave looks like his arm is being eaten by The Blob or a dimensional portal or a strange Lovecraftian ether being. Hasbro needs to make up its mind once and for all what color Rumble is, red or blue. I think they swap his colors on purpose just to screw with the people who like to argue about it.

Strange they did a Titanium Jetfire along with a bunch of G1 and movie characters. Probably because they can't do a G1 Jetfire coz of copyright issues...

Heck, I'm tempted to repaint that Jetfire as Titan

Those G1 figures, heck even some of the movie ones, are very nice looking! I might have to reconsider getting these!

The Frenzy looks exactly like the mini-figure that was available in Japan over a year ago. His weapons are on upside-down which lead me to believe they come off just like on the mini-statue. Arms too.

Wow, didn't expect Grapple, Sideswipe or Blaster. I don't care if they transform or not...they look better than some of the crap that DOES transform.

The Galvatron case set did not release, however, the figure from it has been repurposed for the second series.

Arcee is also in Series 2 (you can see a pic of her in one of the shots, and also on the attacktix.com site).

Many of the G1 figures are from future series beyond series 2...something to look forward to.

TF series 2 and SW series 5 should be out soon...the starters for both have already started showing up, which means the boosters shouldn't be far behind.

I bought him off ebay a month back and I don't think I have seen any since. I got him quite inexpensively too.
