Best exclusive this year?

With 2009 coming to a close, what do you think the best exclusive figure released this year has been? There's a LOT to choose from in 2009.
My pick I guess you could say is a bit of a darkhorse, and that's Target's Titanium Hotzone (G1 Hotspot homage) I like him for a lot of reasons, but mostly because he's a repaint that stays very true to the character he is supposed to be. It's not just Hasbro slapping colors onto an existing mold that has nothing to do with the other character. He also has a very fun and addicting transformation that is neither too simple or too hard.

I can't pick just one, so here is my three way tie: Target's purple Animated Shockwave, Target's Animated Sunstorm (I'm a sucker for anything orange) and TRU's Insecticons. It definetly has been a great year for exclusives, and I hope next year will be just as good.

Definitely the TRU Insecticons. I would also have to say MP Skywarp as a close second.

I've been news hounding for a good 6 months... then I just realized, wow, I never even paid attention to what 'exactly' came out in stores for '09. In all honesty it wasn't a grand year for Store exclusives.. that's why my vote is null.

I may be one of the few that think this, but I like the Target exclusive for Voyager The Fallen.

As someone who has bought *every* store exclusive from '09, with the exception of the repack of Unicron and the Surface-to-Air Showdown from Costco, nothing has really *wowed* me. That said, the Minicon 10 pack and War for the Skies were pretty awesome.
Next year is going to be interesting with Animated Arcee. She looks really great.

I'm going to be different here, and say G1 Percepter Reissue.
Why?
Well, he was always one of my favorites. The only official G1 TF that could actually function in his alt mode (though poorly, to be honest), exceptional articulation for the time, and he was a scientist that could still fight if needed without being a "mad scientist" like Wheeljack (another fave character) or being a complete cloud-cukoolander (I was big into science as a kid).
So having the chance to finally own him, as I didn't have the chance back then, I snatched him up in a heartbeat. He's currently locked in mortal combat with G1 TRU "reissue" (yeah, I know) Soundwave on the shelf as we speak.

I would have voted for TRU insecticons, but the stickers sucks, which kinda ruins the fun. So my vote goes to the Target 6" Hot Spot. I mean how often do you see a Hot Spot toy? Thank you Target.
Clear screamer is another one of my favs this year.

Best exclusive of 2009? I'm going to have to go with the Botcon Sweeps. The first attempt at unique figures for them and three for one! Army building at it's finest.

Store Exclusive would be Hardhead. It's a great mold with a great repaint.
Non-store Exclusive would be Banzai-Tron. Seriously; this guy takes an awesome mold and adds some wicked paint apps to it. Seriously kick ass.

Well... true. I just didn't KNOW Megs could function in alt mode as a kid (didn't know it until I hit the Internet in the 90's, actually).

Well... true. I just didn't KNOW Megs could function in alt mode as a kid (didn't know it until I hit the Internet in the 90's, actually).
I guess Perceptor was the original Device Label transformer. Sweet.
By the by, I wonder if anyone ever managed to convince their parents to get them Perceptor on the grounds that he turned into a microscope and was therefore "educational".

Blurrz, in this case you're out of your gourd. Never before have he had some many exclusives, now some were a bit dull but a lot of them were super duper cool.
And note that I didn't limit this to store exclusives, things like the Botcon sweeps and SDCC Soundwave with 4 tapes count, also.

I'll throw in two that I love. First is Electro Disruptor Ligier. I can't wait to get my Pile of Loot for him this week. Nice repaint of a figure that made sense to be clear to begin with. Great articulation, alt mode and fun transformation.
Botcon Sweep set. I don't see a reason why hasbro would have done this, so I'm glad that Fun Pub picked up on this. Also, if you were at the con, $55 is an incredible steal for these 3 guys. Desired troop builders, updated for classic/unvs, articulated mold, and the new head design is outstanding!

I vote for the Insecticons TRU reissue was the best one. I give them a slight edge over Perceptor just because there are three of them. I would have voted for Walmart MP Skywarp, but I already had him from Japan.

I am just glad I picked up the Insecticons and Perceptor. Does Fracture count for this year? I can't remember if that was 08 or 09. If so, I like that one quite a lot. I also like Countdown a ton as well.

I'll say Sdcc Soundwave.. The fact he came with 4 tapes sold me.. I always wanted a Soundwave as a kid but never got one so this was a ez choice .. I just wish HTS hadn't tossed in a oversized shipping box and crushed the edges

I got a lot of exclusives this year. I'm a big fan of TRU Countdown and Wal-Mart Hardhead. It's probably a tie between those two for me.
