In the latest issue of Telebi Magazine, there is a lucky draw contest open to Japanese readers. One of the price is none other than our Transformers hero - Optimus Prime.
This time round the toy mold of Optimus Prime selected for the lucky draw is the latest movie ROTF Optimus Prime. It comes with gold plated colour and only limited to 3 pieces.

When I usually see a figure I extremely like I tend to get a bit animated. Y'know, go crazy, jump around the house.

The sad thing this time around is that it's a LD but...

G'luck bro! I'm guessing your other Optimus Primes will be inferior if you win.. so uh... send them my way, right?

If I won, I'd probably sell it for a very reasonable price to one of the Lucky Draw collecting members of this site on the proviso that they share pictures with everyone. Then I'd give some of the cash to charity, and use the rest to buy figures I'd prefer.

To be honest, I'd be too scared to open it if I won, and that'd be a terrible waste.

Could this mould even be made clear? Surely it has too many parts and joints.

U have a point there..... So i am safe on this case, due to the fact i am having/going to have 3 version of this toy (normal, buster and dvd black version)....

But Gold is pretty cool, that day i saw the real Gold plated Bendy Prime (AKA Armada Super Optimus), very impressive!

Which Prime would you say is more superior? This LD Gold ROTF Prime, or the LD Gold MP Convoy?

Am I the only one who thinks LD figures are hideous? I understand their extremely low numbers make them highly sought after and expensive, but I find them ugly as hell.

Well they're both wonderful pieces of art. I'd say MP is the better and bigger figure, so I'll go with that over ROTF Prime.

I agree that the gold is a little over the top, but that may be jealously on my part trying to cover for the fact that I will never own a LD figure.

I read up on LDTF.com and it says the pic we used is a mock up. Not the real prime you get. The real one is gonna be shiny. Wish this nobody luck and Diem too

Wow. So these are gold plated?
Pretty cool. I've been making SOLID gold Transformers for the last 2 years. Should I start posting pics of my work on this site? If so, what section would it be best to post it in?

Is it real 24K gold ??? Even I can cover up the wheels and get some spray psint ???

But the one thing I respect is that it is a contest prize and not some "super limited edition" for rich collectors. Congrads to the lucky winner. :)

Speaking from experience, you have to buy an issue of Telebi magazine, and there's a special postcard inside to send in. I don't know if there's any other way of entering.
