Suggestion for Classics Shockwave stand-in?

Just wondering if anyone has any good suggestions for a Shockwave stand-in for a Classics collection? I was thinking about getting an Energon Shockblast OR an Alternators Shockblast. What do you think? Better suggestions? I figure a G1 Shockwave would be too big and too pricey. Thanks for any help!

I would say Energon Shockblast would fit the Classics aesthetic more than the Alternators version. And he still transforms into some sort of gun, at least.
The Alternators one is definitely awesome, but IMO he only really fits in with the rest of the Alts.

I agree with kirbenvost. Alternators are too big to fit with the Classics. I wouldn't be surprised if Hasbro gives us a repaint of Energon Shockblast father than a new mold for Classics/Universe

Yeah, you can add another vote for Energon Shockblast to stand in as Classics Shockwave. I do as well. I just wish his effn arm wasn't soo...BIG. But it's not bad, just a personal preference. He fits in pretty well with his size and aesthetics.

E Shockblast is definitely the better figure to fit with Classics. He's got a ton of detailing (which I wish was better painted

) and should be just about the right height to be a bit taller than Classics Megatron.

Shockblast would be awesome stand-in for shockwave in the classics line, but personally i think shockwave should be like how he was in the first Transformers video game where he was a triple changer! He still had his orginal bot mode, but he also had the helicopter and gun implementation mode. So technically, he would have some of his gun mode like he had, but futuristically modified. I understand this wont go into production and would cost too much money for R&D and other costs, but if you have played the first transformers video game you would see what i'm talking about.

The first Transformers video game? Yeah, I played that on the Sinclair Spectrum. The best cassette tape I ever owned. Don't remember Shockwave in it though.

Shockwave is a head on a post in Megatron's Office according to the Games of Deception comic.
You should plan appropriately.

I didn't even think about Shockwave showing up in the new Universe line! That would be awesome. A new gun mold would be really cool, but I could see them repainting Shockblast. Please give us a Shockwave.
In the Transformers movie game, Shockwave was a cool triple changer. The game was terrible, but I remember thinking how cool that would be as a toy.

I think he meant the 2007 movie game. Yes, there have been more, even for the NES (or Famicom) in Japan!

Sorry, I can't help but bring this up one more time:
Had he been released this would have been the a perfect candidate for a classics Shocky. (He may have been a little short, but he was definitely very cool)
Unreleased Titanium Shockwave (digitally colored, as he was only a gray resin prototype):

But yeah lacking him. my vote goes to Energon Shockblast.

I cried the first time I saw this prototype, it was a truly sad day, knowing that it was a canceled idea. I'd dearly like to see them repurpose this mold, Universe/Classics Three or something...

I want the Titanium Cosmos more then I want that Shockwave. I hope they get THAT design up and running. I know it's not happening, but that piece looked beautiful!

My vote for Energon Shockblast or SL Laserwave. I can't really see any of the few other toys working as a standin, especially Animated Shockwave.
If you have both, one can be E-Shockblast, the other G1 Shockwave. How does that sound?

It was simplified and turned into Legends Cosmos, which fits in scale better IMHO

I use my Alt Shockwave, he's the same size as Classics Voyager Megs, so it works for me.

I actually use Alternators Shockwave. But I also have MP Megs, Optimus and Starscream all standing about as well. Like a movie poster where not everyone is the same size.
But, if you want them all scaled, E Shockwave is the best bet.
Why oh why did they choose not to release Titanium Shockwave when they released Soundwave? Why?? Of course, knowing Titanium, it was probably riddled with a lot of flaws.

If you're looking for one, I've got one loose (complete) with the Energon "trading card"-and I believe I still have the directions too. It's in great shape and I'd make you a good deal on it.
Send me a PM if you're interested.

Thanks for all the great suggestions, everyone! Decided to pick up E. Shockblast from one our very own awesome board members.

You can go the extra mile and pick up Alternator Laserwave, then to show you're a mensch who doesn't care about the scale issue, put him in a corner of your room with a couple of E-Hobby Gadeps and a custom space bridge. Voila, Cybertron!
