Mine arrived yesterday and was expecting to be let down. I actually like Bumblebee. I do wish that his big fat chest could have collapsed down a bit but its not as bad as you might be thinking.
I thought I was going to break him during the part of the transformation where you pull his legs and head down. I didnt like doing it and the resulting snap/click when the parts finally moved into positions sounded bad but all was well.
He arrived in a parcel with my Black MP Prime and the upgrade kit for my FP City Commander, so yesterday was quite a good day for me.

Great photos, Crimson Dynamo! Thanks for sharing them with us. I can't wait to get Alternity Bumble. I love the photo of the figure beside MP OP.

My initial assessment of the toy was wrong. Those pictures make him look quite good.
My set of Bumblebee and Cliffjumper arrive today. I'm pretty excited now.

He's better than he looks in pictures. He's still not comparable to Convoy or Megatron, but he's been growing on me.
Cliffjumper has the less-appealing headsculpt but the way prettier colour.

I haven't had any paint issues so far. Where on him did it chip?

RD, you are the first person to mention anything about paint chipping on these guys that I've heard.

It's certinly troubling...this figure (and the Alternity line in general) doesn't need any more reasons for bad publicity.

Hmm, I've read people express paint chipping problems with Alternity Convoy but I haven't run into the problems myself and I've transformed the figure over a dozen times for sure, maybe two dozen. I think it comes down to the way that some of the production figures may have somewhat misaligned parts. So with that in mind, I'm hoping the Alternity Bumble mold doesn't have inherent design issues that contribute to paint chipping.
