Just picked up Classics Megatron from my local Tesco

He's a pretty mean dude. I just noticed from looking at the seibs gallery however, that mine has a different paintjob, all the orange detailing on the bot modes body/limbs is kinda silvery/green. Quite a lot nicer looking for it to I have to say. Are they all like this?
He's a bugger to get to stand up though

any advice?

can you post a pic? I'd like to see the different colors. The orange pieces have to conform to USA gun safety laws that all gun like toys must have an orange tip on the barrel so basically police men won't shoot children pointing toy guns at them.
To get him to stand better, try to get the "wings" as close to his center of gravity as possible.
Hope this helps

Pic on its way. The orange caps are there, but the detailing on his body arms and legs aren't orange, like the one in the gallery.

The pic is there. It looks a lot more green because of the flash but its very silvery in person. The same detailing on the seibertron gallery is a similar orange to the saftey caps.
I'm tempted to take a sharpie to those orange bits tbh

Worse pic, but without the flash.
and the seibertron one...

I think they actually might be rather close. I'm betting it might have something to do with the lighting. For instance, would you say that the purple of the legs is pretty close in person to your pics or to the cybertron gallery. To me, your purple looks darker. (I'll have to get home to see if I can tell any difference.) I'm thinking that the result you are speaking about would vary in different lighting, expecially florescent to incandescent.
Just a thought. I'll have to get back to you later tonite( well, later tonite here in the states as I believe it's gawdawful in the morning where you are, I bet.)

I see it, the Stripes on Meg's legs/shins are greener, in your Pic than in Seib's gallery. I agree it might be becasue of the lightning, but I do see a difference.

Tally ho! To get him to stand easier bend his knee the wrong way one notch till the shin gaurd touches the theigh, then bend the theigh back one notch. Repeat with the other leg and stand him with his feet angled outward 30 degrees. This peculier pasture was used by the artist who drew the transformers cartoons and comics in the 80's. Gives it that much more nastalgic appeal. Dude should be practicly earthquake proof in that pose. Hope that helps. TX

That totally works! thanks

Looking at it in person, it still totally looks like its silver, not orange :/

In my office, the stripe looks gold with maybe just a hint of a pale green. I'm betting there may be some lighting issues. Though I wouldn't rule out a slight difference in paint as the lots went on.
As an example, my Titanium Rodimus Prime has one portion of his leg, a painted metal, that's an ever so slightly lighter shade of red than the rest of him.
*shrug* I'm guessing that the pics on this site were briliantly lit and may be bringing out the vibrance of the colors.
