RiD Railspike question

Quick question about RiD Railspike: specifically about his weapon. On my figure, and in the Seibertron galleries when he's in train mode his weapon juts out of the back, with the block part not touching his robot mode's feet. However, in the instructions and on Peaugh's video review, it looks like the part blends more seamlessly into the train mode. What's the deal with that?

Odd safety thing...

See, on the clear piece, the US release has an extra 1/4 inch or so. This means that the gun won't sit flush in alt mode.

It's really, really dumb. You can break it clean off if you desire and the Japanese/Korean releases do not have it.

Thanks for the info!

This was actually one of the very few times I specifically chose only the Japanese release instead of the North American. The altered weapon, the transparent windows, etc are all really nice details. However, all three of my figures feel like rag dolls :-(

Ya know, everyone talks about the transparent windows on these toys, but I never liked them...

Neither have I, much of it is wasted by having to be painted over. Plus, it looks weird on J-Four's (Midnight Express) crotch...

Don't look into the window for it contains...oblivion!

...

On a related note, I'd love to get Railracer or JRX some day. :)
